Articulate 360 has everything an e-learning professional needs to quickly and easily develop courses for desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. It includes industry-leading mobile technology that frees course developers from endlessly tweaking their courses for every device a learner might use.

Let’s take a closer look at Articulate 360's technology—and how it makes developing mobile learning so much easier.

Publish Storyline 360 and Studio 360 Courses to a Responsive Player

Articulate 360 includes our award-winning authoring apps Storyline 360 and Studio 360. Create any interactive e-learning imaginable with Storyline 360. And Studio 360 makes it easy to transform PowerPoint presentations into engaging e-learning.

Both of these apps use our responsive mobile course player, which adapts course content for any device. Here’s how it works:

When a learner opens a Storyline 360 or Studio 360 course on their mobile device, the responsive player automatically adapts to make the most of the screen real estate while preserving course content.

There’s no need for e-learning developers to tweak courses for different devices or aspect ratios. They simply publish content and the technology does the rest. See the player in action in this video.

To provide a seamless experience for learners on the go, our responsive mobile player automatically provides intuitive mobile navigation and supports mobile gestures such as swipe and pinch-to-zoom. Explore this example on your mobile device to see what we mean!

Create Truly Responsive E-Learning with Rise 360

In addition to the responsive player in Storyline 360 and Studio 360, Articulate 360 includes Rise 360—a web-based app that was built with mobile in mind.

Rise 360 lets course creators build inherently responsive e-learning right in their web browser. They can kickstart course creation by customizing a pre-built course template or create a completely custom course by adding lessons and blocks. Because it’s Rise, all course content adapts beautifully to any device.

Take a look at this example on your mobile device to see what we mean. You’ll notice how course content reflows and looks great no matter the device size or orientation (try looking at the example in both portrait and landscape modes). Rise is responsive e-learning the way it should be—totally effortless!

Version 1.0
  • Me pide una plataforma instalar su programa .... pero no puedo ver los temas de la maestría .... qué pasa?
  • I am in the same boat as Cecily. This does not work with Gateways I-learning either. Very frustrating!

Hi Denise! I'd recommend reaching out to the person who assigned you the course (or if you have one, your learning management system admin).

It's possible the course needs to be re-published with the latest version of the authoring tool.

Of course, you can also open a support case here: http://articulatecase.com

  • Hi, everyone!

Really sorry for the trouble here! This article is actually on the topic of Articulate's new HTML5 responsive player for mobile (a little different from the Articulate Mobile Player app you may have installed on your Android device or iPad), but no matter. We still want to help you!

The most likely cause of a course not opening properly in Articulate Mobile Player (AMP) is that the course wasn't published with the most recent version of the authoring tool. The authoring tool could be Articulate Storyline or Articulate Studio, but that's irrelevant to you--you just need to be able to access the course!

I'd recommend reaching out to the person who gave you this course and telling them that Articulate says the course needs to be re-published with the latest version of Storyline or Studio. Once they've done that, you should be able to access the course without a problem.

Of course, we'd also love to help you here if you continue to have trouble: http://articulatecase.com

      Good day Justin,

If I understand, a published course in Storyline 2 will not work (anymore) in the updated mobile player...? On both platform...

That would be an awkward move since their doesn't seem to be 2 versions of the mobile app on the appstore or the Playstore...

Wasn't it part of a selling pitch back in the days?

seem to be having the same problem as everyone else. have articulate mobile in my ipad. took a course all worked well. trying to take another course and it goes immediadtely to download app page but will not view lesson
  • I am having the exact same problem as Debra Hansen. I'm trying to do a course that required me to install this programme, which I duly did. It prompts me to tap on a link but when I return to the course link it continues to tell me that I have to download the software. It shouldn't be this difficult or frustrating. Thank-you.

Hi Karyn! There's no app download required to access content with Articulate 360's new responsive player! You can just open course links in your browser.

If you're trying to use the Articulate Mobile Player app for content created with other versions of Articulate software and having trouble, please open a support case! You can do that here: https://articulate.com/support/contact/case
