Diane, I definitely recommend really studying the tutorials on the Articulate website.

Don't just watch them; spend time trying to re-create what you see. It's easily the best way to learn.
Go in order so you don't miss anything, but I gotta say: your training projects will come to life once you understand variables (the little codes that make training truly interactive.) Variables can also tell the training module to remember what the learner did on a previous screen, which is fantastic.
Once you get into the more complicated processes, jump on here and ask questions. This is one of the most helpful communities that I have EVER joined.
Hope this helps!

Diane Wilkerson- DanielMitchell18 years agoCommunity MemberI understand the time issue. It's vital that you and/or your employer see these types of tasks as important to your usefulness. You will probably have to simply schedule time every week to work on improving your skills.
My boss understands this, and gives me the nod to spend time on self-improvement. I don't schedule it as much as do it whenever I need a break on something else. The good news is, learning this stuff can be fun, so it really does help your day go faster.
- LOrealB2 years agoCommunity MemberThanks for sharing Daniel! I found it inspiring to learn that I've been designing Level three courses all along! I'm my harshest judge, no doubt, and I'm discovering that I've been using Articulate 360 to design level four courses sans a couple of level-up variable triggering and can't wait to complete the ATD certificate! : ) I learned how to use completion variable triggering for a nine module course I designed last year and was loved the time on task efforts (and take-aways) as did my client, so thanks Nicole for all you do! The training and feedback here is truly invaluable!
