Hello! Thank you for providing the courses for Black History Month! I have shared the resources with parents and teachers. I would like to suggest a correction in the Black History Full length course. In lesson 2 - Which Terms Should I Use?, it states, “Black" refers to dark-skinned people of African descent, regardless of nationality.”
The correction that I recommend removing is “dark skinned.”It perpetuates the stereotype that all individuals of African descent have uniformly dark skin, which overlooks the diversity within the Black community.
Instead, consider using more inclusive language like "refers to people of African descent, regardless of skin tone or nationality." Thank you.
