  • @steven loomis, the new Terms of Service (sent today) show OpenAI has been added "as a new subprocessor for customers who choose to use our upcoming AI features."

Can someone with Articulate confirm that if one of their customers chooses not to use the AI features, that data subprocessor will not be used? (will not have access to data added to Articulate Rise) Like steven, we have a process for security review involving AI and will need assistance with the security information.

Also to confirm, I assume using the AI features will be an additional cost?

      Hi Naomi,

If you don't use the AI features, no data will be sent to OpenAI. Even if you do utilize the AI features, the only Rise data sent to OpenAI will be data that users specifically volunteer to be analyzed by AI.

Being in a government organization we are interested in the answer to this too.

        Hi Naomi and Alex,
Don't worry, we'll have more information about all of this when we launch. Stay tuned!
  • Is the AI based on OpenAI or other open source resources - this is a big IS security concern at my organization?

Hi Steven, the AI will utilize OpenAI initially, however we are looking into long-term solutions that will give customers more flexibility on which LLMs are used.

Are there any plans for improving knowledge checks? It feels like these have been abandoned recently, which is a shame considering they are a key part of the learning journey.

Hi Dan! Would love to hear more about this. Are you talking about knowledge checks in Rise or Storyline? What kind of improvements are you looking for?

Rise. Lack of drag and drop with images, no text to image matching, issues with reviewing answers in the Quiz-style lesson.

I know SL assets can be inserted into Rise but it's a lot of work, especially when content needs to be translated.

We now embed H5P to improve our knowledge checks.

When you see the support page for KCs, you can see just how thin it is: https://articulate.com/support/article/Rise-How-to-Use-Knowledge-Check-Blocks

Not taking away from AI or design, but an update and refresh in this area would be hugely welcome I think :)
  • Thank you for sharing these videos! I am excited to try the AI features. Do you know when they will become available to use?

Thanks for sharing these presentations. I look forward to seeing how the AI features help with development. I noticed the upcoming AI features Madison and Melissa spoke about are all for Rise 360. Will we see AI features in Storyline 360?

I was wondering the same thing Rob, so thanks for putting it out there. I am hoping Storyline is also part of this exciting new feature as 90% of our courses are developed in Storyline at this time and it would be a real time saver for our developers.
