Very cool. I am going to check out function.
  • Looks like a great way to involve learners. How much additional effort is it to design e.g. a 15 min. wbt? 10% more? 20% more?
  • Montse, another REALLY great example. It's so intuitive and what a great way to allow learners to become involved in their learning. Before I pulled the file up, I had the same question as Gerold. getting into it, I'm thinking that the heavy lifting is done on the first slide, then if you duplicate slide 1.2 as you go all of your triggers are already there. Right? GREAT example for us all. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Montsea, I was wondering what you could use if the learner wants to turn the narration off mid-course? I was looking at shortcut keys and using the master slide? I don't want to have more buttons throughout.  Yep, you guessed it, I'm new to storyline and I want to dive into the deep end already.

STin13 I updated the published demo so you can see how it works. One thing I'd recommend is including a custom instructions slide to show learners what keyboard shortcuts are available with the accessibility controls. Here's a good overview of how that works: Adding an instructions screen for keyboard shortcuts (you might need to log into LinkedIn to view)

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I’ve managed to get a working version, although it’s a bit glitchy with layers. At my workplace, we don’t use the built-in accessibility controls because they tend to create extra chatter for learners using screen readers. I’m working on custom accessibility features to reduce that noise and create a smoother, more focused experience for learners.
