- JaneBuckleyCommunity MemberI am relatively new to Rise. I loved the "Stay home or go to the vet" interaction! How did you add the icons to the front of the cards? How did you build in the feedback after each option is selected? Can you share an editable block of this interaction?
- LeonaGreenlo652Community MemberAs a dog owner, I approve of this course.
- DanaProttas-1e1Community MemberHi Sarah, I am going to post here in this old thread and HOPE that you (or someone else) finds it and responds. I am trying to change the CSS code for the cover page to remove the title (and use a personalized gif image in its place). A huge THANK YOU to the Rise team for updating the option to remove the titles from the general content pages. From my research - it seems that Rise no longer allows for the possibility of changing the CSS code on the cover page (unless you download, change the CSS, etc.).
I am wondering if there is a way to change the code in Rise itself and/or if you have any suggestions for a workaround for the cover page. Thank you in advance!!- SarahHodgeFormer StaffHi Dana! 👋 If you want to remove the title, one option would be to delete the title and add a space in the title area using the spacebar key. If you plan to upload the course to an LMS, you'll need to add the course title to your LMS to identify the course. Another option, if you're publishing to your LMS, is to remove the cover page altogether. Here's more info about it: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/rise-360/new-in-rise-360-hide-cover-page
- DanaProttas-1e1Community MemberThank you so much for the response, Sarah. I already figured out the space bar workaround - LOL! Interesting idea about the LMS and removing the cover page.
Out of curiosity - am I correct that Rise will no longer let you alter the CSS code for the cover page? That would be the easiest way to do it!
- MerciMileyCommunity MemberThis is really great! Where did you find the gifs of the puppies?
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThanks, Merci! From what I remember, I created the gifs by editing the images in Photoshop and using PowerPoint to animate them. Then I saved them as gifs and inserted them into Rise 360.
- YoonFalkJensenCommunity MemberGreat Work! How did you insert the link "Details" on the cover that links to the menu.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffHello Yoon! Are you referring to the lesson outline? If so, I used Rise 360, which makes it really easy to create. Here's more info: https://community.articulate.com/articles/rise-360-outlining-a-course-with-section-headers-and-lesson-titles
- DonisaNorman-29Community MemberNicely made, It's clean, simple and extremely engaging!
- StacyEddletonCommunity MemberThis is amazing!! Is there a template somewhere about removing the code for the headers? I haven't been able to get this quite right but it seems once I have it saved as a template then I will be able to replicate it. **Disclaimer-- new user here.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThanks, Stacy! It's been a while since I last worked on this project, so I don't recall the exact steps. I do remember following this video on YouTube that shows how to remove the Rise 360 lesson headers:

I hope that helps!
- LaurieMascaro-7Community MemberHI Sarah -
I know this is an older post, but we're working on a project where we'd like to have an animated image in the cover photo (where you have the dog pushing down the cat). We're having some difficulty figuring out what the size of the animated piece should be. We're creating an animation in SL 360 and converting it to a GIF. No matter what size we try to publish the video to in SL or convert to in the tool, everything is too big. We've even tried making the actual objects on the slide smaller - nothing works.
What was the size of your original animations in SL? What were the settings used in the GIF converter to ensure proper sizing? (We're using EZGIF.com.) The image is also pixelated, which we think is related to size but don't know for sure. Can you share some additional detail about how you created the animated dog/cat in the cover photo?
Thank you!!- SarahHodgeFormer StaffHi Laurie! Sounds like a fun project you're working on! It has been a while since I've worked on this project, so I'll do my best to share as much as I remember. I ended up using a story size of 2047x585 and then using Camtasia to screen record it (Publish to Video wasn't available at the time) using the dimensions 1680x479 and then saved it as a GIF. Generally, cover photos with a 1:3 aspect ratio look best in the Rise 360 cover photo area. For example, you could use an image with these dimensions: 1,000 pixels x 3,000 pixels. It can be a bit tricky adding animations and movement as things shift to make it responsive, so be sure to test it. Hope that helps!
- SudiptaDe-aa19dCommunity MemberHi Sarah,
What an awesome course with RISE! love it!!
I do have some questions though as I am trying to use some of your ideas -
1. How did you customize Process Interactivity Labels? Default is "Step #" that you have changed to "Day #." I know to customize labels from Settings, but that takes effect for the whole module. How can I customize it only for one interactivity?
2. In "What activities do dogs enjoy?" I see the images first and the text below the carousel. The presentation is different from what is in-built in RISE and something similar I need for one of my courses. Is it a SL block?
Sudipta- SarahHodgeFormer StaffHi Sudipta! Sorry for the late reply.
1. For the Process Interactivity, I used the Gallery Carousel block. The Day 1 text is actually part of the image. I just designed it to look the same as the Interactive Process block for cohesion. With recent updates, you can now change the process block step label to your own custom text.
2. As for the activities dogs enjoy, I also used the Gallery Carousel block. If you edit the interaction, you can make similar edits to the text to get the same appearance.
I hope that helps!- SudiptaDe-aa19dCommunity MemberThank you, Sarah!
- LeonardPugliaCommunity MemberHi Sarah,
I know this example is 2 years old now, but I was interested in your use of GIFs as headings. I'm specifically interested to know how you were able to make them responsive when viewing on a tablet or mobile device.
My experience with using GIFs in Rise is that they are not responsive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
