Want to create a completely unique “byte”-size learning experience? Try using storytelling techniques and custom graphics for an electrifying outcome. This microlearning example shows how using a character to tell a story can transform even the most humdrum subjects into a lively spectacle. And whipping up these graphics is simpler than one might compute thanks to free assets like this avatar set and phone mock-up download, as well as the ability to modify icons/illustrations/shapes from Content Library 360 and PowerPoint.

I love it! Beautiful design, and the timing of the content could not be more spot on.

    Thanks for sharing Sarah!
  • Hi Sarah not sure how I missed this. The course is beautiful what image dimensions do you use?
  • Hey Sarah, what a great course with such an inspiring design! I downloaded the source file and noticed that you often use the labelled graphic block (with no icon elements) instead of a full screen image block, what's the reason for that?

Thanks, Rachel! I could've used either block for this example since the graphic has a solid purple color on the bottom, but I generally use the labeled graphic (full width) when I want the entire image to always be visible and not get cut off or as in this example, I wanted that wave image to match the others no matter how much content was above it. I usually use the full-screen image block when the image is more decorative and I don't mind it getting cut off, since it changes how much of the image displays depending on the content above it. Hope that makes sense!
