- KellyWellerCommunity MemberWow! This is beautiful.
- CaseyEdwards-6dCommunity MemberEcho, Beautiful! Captivating and fun!
- MikeVictorick-fCommunity MemberBut how? I would love to see the back end of this!
- FormacinyDesarrCommunity MemberI think they designed the tests with Storyline and put some GIF images in blocks. Looks great tho.
- EmmaBerry22Community MemberThis is a Rise course uses embedded Storyline blocks and custom illustrations. :)
- KellyWellerCommunity MemberI see - does that mean that you created the storyline blocks and inserted them one after the other, and made the background of them the same colour so they would blend in?
- EmmaBerry22Community MemberSo there's only around 4 Storyline blocks in the whole course- the rest is Rise functionality. But yes, the Storyline blocks have the same b/ground colour as the Rise block to allow them to blend.
- AshlySquiresCommunity MemberI agree, would love a backend tutorial on how to achieve this look!
- MarthaLopez-c11Community MemberGorgeous! Thank you for sharing this. Would you also be willing to share what it looks like on the back end? (Just echoing what others have said.) It would help me learn how I can do something similar.
- EmmaBerry22Community MemberThanks Martha! I've left a comment below with a link to a video, where I talk through how I created this build :)
- ChristyThurs811Community MemberEmma, this is very nice! Love it. I have been working on a few samples with a similar look piecing together different image blocks and blending the background colors but I discovered that it is much harder in the original multi-lesson format. It works very well in the newer microlearning format I assume because it's all in one page - the images seem to adapt better to different devices. In the original multi-lesson format, especially portrait mobile and tablet views, the images get cut off or overlap. Any tips on how to rectify that?
- EmmaBerry22Community MemberThanks Christy! It definitely does work best in the microlearn format. To be honest I've found the only way around it is trial and error, trying out different image proportions and constantly switching between devices. If I'm doing a header style image, I try and keep everything as central as possible, to avoid things being cut off when moving between devices.
- JaneCarpenterCommunity MemberWas After Effects used to make the graphical movement?
- EmmaBerry22Community MemberNope, just Affinity designer and then an online GIF maker :) I'm absolutely rubbish at After Effects!
- StudentCoachingCommunity MemberThis is so cool!
- MatthewGraha820Community MemberReally well done! I agree, would love to see a Youtube tour of setting it up in Rise. This reminds me of the airliner one floating around last year with the really well done custom illustrations that essentially hide the blocks. Kudos!
- EmmaBerry22Community MemberThanks Matthew! See my comment below, with a link to a Youtube video where I walk through how I set up this build.
