Storyline 360: Course Dashboard Template

This Storyline 360 course dashboard gives your learner a central slide with all the critical course information. This template uses states, layers, variables, and more to create fun interactivity that allows you to track your course completion. Download the fonts (Bison Bold and Abel) to get this exact look-and-feel!

    I like to work with a dashboard as a starting point in my courses. This one looks great. Love the idea of the video directly on the dashboard here.

    I love this template. I have a course that has 15 modules and I would love to use a layout like this. Do you have any suggestions for managing a list that size without overwhelming the layout and ease of use for your dashboard? Thank you in advance for your time.

      Thanks so much for your comment and for posting your question here. That's a great question! I think you should post here in the Building Better courses forums and get input from other community members on this: https://community.articulate.com/forums/building-better-courses

      You might get some great ideas and suggestions for how to not make it overwhelming given you have 15 modules. Hope this helps :)

    Thanks! But what version of Storyline was this done in? Its saying it was built in a later version than mine, and I have 360.

      Hi Shelly! You may need to update your version of Storyline 360. Check the Articulate 360 tray app to see if any updates are available.

    Can I use this with storyline 3? It will not download!!! Do you use a dial in the middle and change the states after each completed session? I just want to use the correct dial rather than drawing shapes for each state. Please help if you can. Thank you.

      Hi Janice! This file does open up in the latest version of Storyline 3. If it's not working for you, you may need to update to the latest version of Storyline 3 (https://articulate.com/p/downloads).

        Thanks so much, I did start to create something. I have the states working for the central circle but when a main menu button is pressed on another slide, what would the trigger do besides going to the main menu slide on the story? I am trying to figure out the changing state once the shape (button ) is selected... it would be easier to use yours :)

    Hi Nicole,

    I am a brand new user of Storyline and I love this design. I have used your template for one course already!

    However, I have run into trouble with my second one and I can't see where I am making the error. Only one of my lessons is counting towards completion and I have quadruple checked the triggers to Add 1.00 to AmountComplete and Set Lessonxvisited.

    I am finding the 'true' and 'false' commands counter-intuitive. Do you have tips on where I could be going wrong?

      Hi Catriona! So glad you like this template - but sorry to hear you've run into a bit of a snag here! Would you mind posting your question here in the Building Better Courses forum: https://community.articulate.com/forums/building-better-courses

      If you post your question there, along with a link to your .story file so we can take a closer look ? Even if you just include the 2 slides in question, it would help. It's hard to know what's going on without looking at your file.

      In terms of working with variables, I know it can be a bit tricky for newbies. Just keep using them and practicing and you'll get better with time!

    This is great. I'm pretty new to storyline, too. I was wondering if there was a way for the checkmark to happen after the lesson I put in for the lessons as opposed to the person just clicking on the lesson 1 button on the course dashboard. Thanks!
