- Very elegant. I like that you faded out the body when a pop-up is open. I think this reduces cognitive load. I also like that you have a label saying 'close here'. The interaction is very intuitive.

- How did you use the marker w/out the associated text bubble appearing? I know you can trigger the layer with it...I know you can change the states of the marker...but I don't know how to make that box disappear...! TIA

I didn't use marker in this interactivity i have created a gif (animated marker) button and triggered show layer...

Thanks for your kind words, in this demo i have removed each and every part from player skin like: menu, resources, glossary and title. And change the entire color to white as you can see in this demo....
