That is a nice sample of text to speech. What do you do when words are not pronounced correctly?
- MichaelDiFonzo6 years agoCommunity MemberHector,
It's been pretty good at the pronunciation and I'm using medical words. I try to spell it out phonetically so it pronounces it correctly. Some simple things I had to do was put a space for IV (I V), 101 was spelled with an o and not zero (1o1),
Downside is that I can't display the closed caption though if things are spelled phonetically and I like to use closed caption for universal design reasons.

I know this post was from a while ago, but I just came across and wanted to reply. You can display your captions spelled correctly (not phonetically) by unchecking the "update captions" checkbox when changing the spelling to phonetic. This displays the text as originally written, but changes the pronunciation to match your phonetic spellings. Hope that's helpful!- MichaelDiFonzo6 years agoCommunity MemberAmie,
Thanks. That's a good idea and I hadn't thought of that. That would definitely work. The only issue is that I'm so in the habit of updating everything as I go! Only issue may be if I had to change a word I might have to update the caption but then go back and change it to phonetic. Good work around though.
- SylMcIvers6 years agoCommunity MemberThere were a few words that i wrote with normal, correct spelling in the 'notes' section which I think is used for closed captions, but broke into syllables in the text-to-speech section.
Toximia = tock see me uh "I CCed the manager" --> I C C 'd
It took some careful listening to catch words, because sometimes I 'heard' what I knew was supposed to be there!
