@Rebecca, @Daniel: I have always thought that one learns more from their mistakes than they do from getting it right every time!
I also agree with the importance of understanding what the cliient is really asking for. I've done a few projects that were really more about delivering information and clicking the Next button. As much as I wanted to make it more interactive and engaging, the client was very specific about what they wanted. In the end they received what they asked for, they were happy, and I'll have another chance to help them improve their courses in the future.
As L&D professionals, I think it's important to educate our clients on what is possible but sometimes, you just have to "go with the flow" to deliver what the client is asking for.
