With the end of school activities with my kids in May, and moving in June, I haven't had much time to complete a challenge. I decided it was time to get back in the saddle, so I created an activity about idioms. Feed the horse apples to keep him going and learn about idioms along the way.

*I forgot to mention that ChatGPT wrote the example sentences and most of the incorrect answers for this activity.

- ThaddaeusSmith3 months agoCommunity MemberLove the design of this, Courtney! Nice work! How did you do the background animation with the parallax effect?
- CourtneyMRobert3 months agoCommunity MemberThanks Thaddaeus! I used Jon Hill's tutorial to learn how to create the parallax effect in Storyline and I found the graphics on FreePik. Here's a link to Jon's blog: https://www.engagebraintrain.com/accordion-to-legend/
- Jonathan_Hill3 months agoSuper HeroGlad my tutorial helped! This is a great use of the parallax effect, within a theme that meshes context and content really well. Using an idiom to explore idioms is very meta. The Drag and Drop is well implemented, too.

- ThierryEMMANUEL3 months agoCommunity MemberSure, I've learned some new English expressions, Courtney, thanks, but I've let the horse run so long to admire the paralax effect that he's exhausted.
- CourtneyMRobert3 months agoCommunity MemberHaha, Thierry! That's why I made the horse stop and the question come up on the button click rather than a timer. I wanted the user to be able to have him run as much as they wanted.
- Ron_Katz3 months agoCommunity MemberFeeding apples to horses. What a great idea. And two different ways to explore the idioms. Genius. Thanks for sharing, Courtney.
