How To Handle Office Politics

Good timing for me. Last week Tom and David did tutorials on gamification, personalization, tension timers, etc. Here's they story I developed as the four sessions progressed. All the situations in the quiz have happened to me over the years. :) Just a plug for the great Articulate Live sessions--I learn something new every time I attend and I try to apply the learning right away so I don't forget it.

- Jodi this was done very well. Looks like you learned a lot from the tutorials. How do you get involved in the live tutorials? I don't think I have heard about them.

The Articulate Live sessions are really helpful to me--since I work alone it's one of the ways I get to interact and learn from others. They are led by Tom Kuhlman and David Anderson, and on occasion Nicola Appel. If I'm not on a call or working on site with a client I try to attend them all. And you can attend via a laptop or mobile device. I've attended in the back seat of a car on the way to the airport. I always learn at least 1 new thing--even if it's a keystroke that makes things easier for me. Or sometimes it's a reminder of something basic--like the impact of trigger order. Or it improves my vocabulary--last week I learned the word "catamwampus". (David! :))
