This actually got me thinking about how to create designs for different social platforms. When I design, my preferred program is PowerPoint. I played with creating a template that would allow you to design in PowerPoint, then use a special PPT trick called "save as image" to convert the slide to an image.
You'll see that in the attached files, I've tried to answer Part 2 of this challenge: create an image for this week's recap. I created two versions:
Articulate: One that, when saved, will output to David's 550x275 size
Twitter: One that, when saved, will output to Twitter's preferred size of 1024x512

You can actually use these for more than just recap posts. You could design your portfolio within each of these templates, save as image, and boom, you have an image that's the right size! It's getting late, so I hope this all makes sense. :)
