Jackie, I LOVE the entry.
One thing I don't understand is how you set the radio button so that you can keep clicking and unclicking the radio button so that the layer with the information shows and hides in tandem with the state (checked/unchecked) of the button??????
With the trigger "logic" I have on the button currently - it will check the radio button and show the layer. Then when I unclick the button it will hide the layer but when I click it again the radio button will show the check mark but the layer won't show.
I have something off. Any insight would be appreciated.
P.S. I even added a couple of buttons and tried to make a button set to see if that made a difference but it didn't.
Thanks!

Hey E.F!
So glad you like it. You're forcing me into the archives for this one!
So looking at my file, I didn't use layers at all. The 3 things I did to set it up: (1) The text that shows/disappears when you check/uncheck a checkbox is simply text I added to the checkbox's built-in Selected state. (2) I then created a True/False variable for each checkbox, with a default value of False. And (3), I added one trigger to each checkbox that says "Set [checkbox's variable name] to value of True when the user clicks [checkbox's object name]".
I hope that helps!

- EF4 years agoCommunity MemberJackie, thank you so much for not only looking in your archives but getting back so quickly. I spent a LOT of time trying to figure it out and now I've got it...! Much appreciation.
The biggest thing now (as simple as it seems) is trying to make the text appear to the LEFT of the input checkbox. From the home tab - I've done text alignment, text direction, spun it 180 but then the text was upside down, right-clicked and did "format shape", and text wrap, etc, etc.- JackieVanNice4 years agoSuper HeroYou're so welcome, E.F! It's fun to go back and revisit the different challenges - so thank you for giving me an excuse! (Plus I'm working in Storyline right now and it's making for a fun break.)
What I did to add labels to the Selected state for each checkbox was to insert as many individual text boxes as I needed. [Home > Insert > Text Box]. So absolutely all of those bits of text you see are in their own cozy little text boxes, nestled comfortably on the Selected state. Then I right-aligned the text in the text boxes closest to the checkboxes ("Area", "Population", etc.) and center-aligned the text in the text boxes that hold the numbers under the US and Germany columns.
Does that make sense?- EF4 years agoCommunity MemberJackie, I will reach out to you. What I meant was to get the actual text of the check box (in your case, the actual words "Area", "Population", "Pop Density", "GDP" to appear left of the box....
