Fantastic example, Ose! Living in Arizona, I grew up with hot and spicy food. Admittedly, I'm comfortable around the cayenne level.
Funny story: After buying my first house, my wife and I threw a BBQ party and cooked shish kabobs. I shopped and purchased only the most colorful veggies to use. My favorite was the small orange pepper that I assumed was sweet. I put the orange peppers on every kabob. That was the day I learned what an habanero was. Everything was ruined. If only I'd seen your interactive graphic 25 years earlier:-/

Having grown up in Africa, I am comfortable with pepper on every level.
We use to joke back home that if you didn't want guests to eat too much, add a lot of pepper.
It looks like that's what you ended up doing inadvertently. Lol.
