Here's my submission for this week on the topic of Defensible Space to keep properties safer from wildfires. It is always on our minds here in Southern California.

- TracyCarroll3 years agoCommunity MemberThis is a great, practical demo, Karin! I like the use of markers to open the semi-transparent scrolling panels.
I live in Los Angeles, and fire/drought is a never-ending concern. This is a cool way to present necessary information.- KarinLorbeck3 years agoCommunity MemberThank you, Tracy!
- JodiSansone3 years agoCommunity MemberThis is great--do you mind if I use it at an upcoming neighborhood meeting? This is a topic in my AZ neighborhood. Luckily one of our neighbors is the fire district commissioner, but we could use a demo like this to send around. Can I send your AWS link?
- KarinLorbeck3 years agoCommunity MemberThanks, Jodi. Feel free to share! I got the information from https://www.fire.ca.gov/programs/communications/defensible-space-prc-4291/. The link is in the "Resources" tab.
- Yvonne3 years agoCommunity MemberLovely presentation of an important topic. I appreciate the design choice to have the flames semi-transparent in the panel background. This makes me consider our house in a wooded area, and how we could increase or improve our defensible space around it when we return.
