👋Hello, Christine Yoon here, Senior Product Manager at Articulate. I’m excited to share that we just released a long-requested feature; Reach 360 admins can now customize the content of email notifications sent to learners. Earlier this year, we released the ability to modify the frequency of notifications. Now, with the combination of the two, you can ensure that your learners receive the right message at the right time.

Why This Matters

Our customers have shared that making emails stand out by matching the brand voice and delivering personalized content is key to keeping your learners engaged and motivated. In a world where our learners are constantly inundated with countless emails and notifications, receiving personalized communication based on what they need is more critical than ever.

Here are ways in which we enable tailored notifications:

Brand Consistency

You can now write your course invitation, enrollment, and due date reminder notifications in your brand’s voice, making your courses and learning program a vital extension of your company.

You can edit both the subject and body of those emails. Brand colors and your logo can also be added under Settings, and both will appear throughout the whole learning experience, such as in your emails’ call-to-action (CTA), learner dashboard, and library.

Provide Important Context

Now, you can include detailed instructions and resources in the body of your email so your learners can jump right into their learning journey.

Before this update, a training manager could only change the subject and body of the initial invitation email. Now, all notifications can be modified using a rich text editor that allows you to format the body, add variables, and incorporate any links that might be helpful for your learners.

Timely Messaging

You know best when the right time is to send reminder and due date emails to your learners. After setting the due dates for your courses or learning paths, you can then choose how frequently your learners will be notified. We also added the ability to enable recurring reminders every certain number of days, which will automatically stop once the learner has completed their training.

To customize your notifications, go to Reach 360, select Manage, then Settings. You’ll see all of your notification settings under Learner Notifications.

We understand that being able to customize your learner-facing emails is a necessary part of your training plan. With these new updates, our hope is quite simple. By personalizing your notifications, your learners will feel better connected to your courses, which will help drive better engagement with your content overall.

If you’re not already using Reach 360, I encourage you to give it a try! The Reach 360 Starter plan is included in every Articulate 360 Teams subscription, and here’s how you can activate it.

  • Thanks so much for this informative article! I just would like to know how to remove the image placeholder. I don't see where I can edit the image when I am working on editing the content for the learner notifications email . Please respond at your earliest convenience.

  • Hello! Great feature. I am new to Reach and currently exploring what it can do. I like that a lot of the core, expected features are present while keeping it simple and intuitive. I have a question about notifications. Can you customize the message that is sent to the learner when they complete a course? I don't see that option. It would be very helpful to have that ability, especially if you want to provide a call to action or what to do next type of message. Also, are there plans to enable course-specific notifications to target particular curriculums? Thanks!
