Storyline 2+: Cards Against Humanity-Inspired Game

Party games like Cards Against Humanity, turn even the most innocent statements into hilariously awkward comic gold. And in this inspired download, I've tried to capture some of that playful spirit by pulling together a few of my favorite pieces of client feedback and using them as the basis for a simple pick-one card game where the more absurd your answer is, the higher your score. (Hint: Score at least 20 points to snag a reward.)

I've built this project in Storyline 2, but you can easily open it with Storyline 360 as well. With a minimalist visual design, this project file is quick and easy to repurpose to create things like a fun, game-like compliance quiz, or an attention-grabbing training refresher, for instance.

Enjoy!

@trinarimmer I have a quick question about how to adjust so that different images show on different layers outside of the base layer. I have successfully changed out all the card images and updated the scoring on 3.2 so that it only counts 5 points on a correct card clip. On Rounds 2,3,4,5,6 I am basically asking a question about different characters on that round. i want to change out a photo of the person on each slide and am unable to because the character on the base slide seems to stay in the background. How do you update an image on the layers?

Thanks for your help! Or anyone else who may have an idea.

Hi Everyone! I actually resolved my issue. I had to add a trigger to the image to go hidden when I click on the Draw button so that it didn't show up on the layer.
      All is well.

      Hope this helps others!
  • This game is great, and I want to adapt it for a training lead-in. I was able to edit the cards under the Assets, but I cannot seem to find information on how to move those edited cards to the base layer and Rounds. Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Since these are .png, would it be a replacement? Do I have to make my cards .pngs too?
