Week 1 Welcome & Introductions

Hello Everyone! I'm Ruby. Currently located in Oklahoma City, but born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I'm a Sr. L&D Analyst within a corporate training team and have created many eLearning courses, along with leading training initiatives for some of our organizational implementations we are currently undergoing. I'm a bit of a one-stop-shop: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation all stay with me with the projects im on. That actually leads me to what I'm hoping to get out of this AI Assistant Certification Cohort: streamlining. When I get a project, I see it through from start to finish. I want to make sure that I am leveraging AI to be as efficient as possible, without losing the effectiveness of the training material or intentionality with the engagement pieces that are leveraged. 

And this is Ziggy 😺. She's been my pet companion for 10 years now.

Hi, I'm Molly Williams! I live in sunny San Diego, California!  It will be 10 years this November that I've worked at  where I've worked Illumina, a DNA sequencing and biotech company in a few different L&D roles, the current being Senior Staff Technical Training Specialist. My work supports San Diego manufacturing and operations, with a real passion for leadership development, training trainers, and—more and more these days—AI adoption and literacy.

On any given day, you'll find me designing and delivering leadership development and train the trainer programs, designing instructional materials for both live and virtual training sessions, coaching and mentoring colleagues, and helping my team explore how AI tools (like building agents in Copilot Studio) can make our work smarter and our learners' lives easier. I love blending structure with creativity—and a little humor never hurts.

What I'm hoping to get out of the Articulate AI Assistant Cohort: My goal is to walk away confident using these tools to streamline content creation, elevate the quality and interactivity of our training, and upskill my instructional design AI capabilities. 

And this is our dog Benny!  He's a 13 year young lhasa apso poodle.

My name is Hassan , and I am based in Toronto, Canada. I work at Calian as a Digital Learning Development Team Lead, where I lead a team that develops online learning solutions and digital training programs.

I’ve been using Articulate software since 2012, so using the Articulate AI Assistant feels like a natural extension of the tools I already use every day.

Hi all! I'm one of the instructional designers at New Belgium Brewing, where I design and facilitate both live and online training programs for our coworkers across the U.S from Fort Collins, CO. In my day-to-day work, I support all teams and departments with coworker development, including compliance, New Hire Orientation, and leadership development. I signed up for this training to ensure I'm keeping up with these AI features and using them as effectively as possible. We are a small team, so anything that can speed up the development process helps! Attached is a picture of Laszlo, or "Lighting Laszlo," as he's known in the racing circuit. :) He's won and placed in a few races now! 

Janet Carroll, located in Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia (Bensalem, PA). I work for Lakeview Loan Servicing (Mortgage Origination and Servicing) as an Instructional Designer for the past 5 years. I mostly work with Underwriters to create and update training materials. Most of the materials are training documents that support eLearning developed and assigned in our LMS system. I joined the AI Assistant Certification Cohort to develop AI skills to help create self-paced training materials. I’m hoping to use the AI skills to make the training more engaging and interactive.

I have no pets. I do have a grand-dog, a Labrador retriever, Maverick.

Hi everyone!

I'm Erin from Tooele, Utah, and I work as an Instructional Designer for the Utah Transit Authority (UTA). I develop training for our light rail operations and maintenance employees, so my day-to-day includes building eLearning in Storyline and Rise, creating videos and job aids, collaborating with subject matter experts, and managing training in Workday Learning.

I joined this cohort because AI has become an invaluable part of my development process, and I want to learn how to use Articulate AI more effectively to create higher-quality training, save development time, and discover new ways to support learners. I'm excited to learn from everyone and see how you're using AI in your own organizations!

Bonus: I have four cats, one dog and a feral 15 year old human child. I would have to say the feral man child is my favorite but I am also pretty fond on my 12 year old kitty that I rescued at five weeks old.  She's part Siamese, has heterochromia (one gold eye and one blue eye) and she was born with four kinks in her tail so it looks all stubby (because of her medium length hair) and has no flexibility, kind of like a bottle brush.  She has a purr you can't hear but can feel if you put your ear, hand or face on her chest.  On almost a daily basis she leaves a single sock for me on my side of the bed.  I have never seen her carry one but one magically shows up while I'm gone.  My son was three when I got her.  He named her Gnocchi after Chef Pisghetti's cat on Curious George.  I like to call her my Gnocchi Noodle or my Little White Potata'.

My name is Matt Ream, and I'm a Learning Program Manager at Legacy Health in Portland, OR. I work in the IT org and we write training and support resources for Legacy's business applications.

While I've been an Articulate user for 10+ years, Legacy is new to Articulate so I provide a lot of "Getting Started" and technical support to our medical content authors. I've been testing AI Assist in my own, but I wanted to attend an official training to learn from others and get a certification badge to help announce to my colleagues that we are here to help them develop their own Articulate skills! I always come away from every Articulate webinar or self-paced training with something new, so I'm excited to see what I'll learn from this certification. 

This is my officemate, River, from last Halloween when he dressed up as a traffic light. He's amazing at keeping my feet warm under my desk, but is not so great at developing training content. Maybe AI Assistant could help him? 

I'm Shweta, based in Brisbane, Australia, and I work as a Learning & Development Lead. My background has always been in IT, but I've recently transitioned into pharmaceutical manufacturing, where I design and deliver training varying from machine operator job aids to manufacturing operational excellence initiatives.

I joined this cohort in understanding how AI can support learning and development within established, legacy organizations that are just beginning to embrace AI capabilities. I would love to use AI to drive training programs that help others confidently adopt AI tools.

My name is Jeremy and I live in Alaska working for Ivanti. Looking forward to learning more about the effective use of AI in the Articulate portfolio. I am particularly interested in how to achieve consistent quality at scale (e.g., speed) in the context of sales enablement.

Hi everyone! I’m Josh Hayes, and I’m located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I work at Sanford Health, the USA's largest rural health care provider, as a Learning and Development Specialist. Most days, I'm translating complex information into clear and engaging training, reviewing courses for quality and accuracy, and finding creative solutions to learning challenges.

I joined the AI Assistant Certification Cohort because I’m excited about the potential for AI to become a practical partner in everyday work and training. I’m especially interested in creating experiences that can support learning design and make complex work easier for both employees and learners.

And this is Daisy, our Belgian Malinois-Labrador mix! She is an important part of our family and frequently keeps me company while I work from home. 🐕
