Three changes you made (and many others):
(1) Prompted AI to rewrite course and lesson intros using an engaging hook.
(2) Created a roll-over image instead of an accordion to present 4 pillars.
(3) Created a job aid regarding mental health. This way manager can download and reference post completion.
Most valuable AI feature or capability:
Just the initial work done by AI saves tremendous amount of hours to create a new course. However, some sections/topics are not as aligned with the original documents/writing. In my practice, when text must be very carefully worded and sometimes meaning can be lost if you change sentences, this is a huge deal — I need to have screen by screen alignment session to make sure important thoughts and explanations did not get omitted or rewrote. Most of the time they get changed!
Challenges:
AI is a bit like a cranky teenager with a mind of their own… it rewrites a lot of original text. In my experience, some SME's are very particular how they want to word certain items.
Generating images. That is definitely a consistent struggle. Sometimes the text is written on a person’s face, sometimes the image does not produce what you think the prompt is stating, other times, results are great.
Original name was “Fostering team happiness and fulfillment for new managers”. Change it to “New Manager’s Guide to Happy and Fulfilled Teams”. I think it is more appealing to the audience. But, the AI generated “Building Happy and Fulfilled Teams: A Guide for New Managers” when the course got produced. I settled on “The Manager’s Guide to Building Teams That Thrive”.
Learning objectives. Three lessons and AI generated 3 different style learning objectives – one had Blooms taxonomy based, full sentence outcomes, the other had more of a topic based outline (all words from capital letters), and the 3rd lesson had something in between – statements with lower case letters.
Quiz. AI created multiple correct style answers for the question with one correct answer. Squares instead of circles.
This is a great write up of your experience, Inga! Were you able to find a balance where the AI assistant made the changes you wanted without changing the text?

Hi! I am following along with the Practice 1 exercise and I'm not seeing an AI icon on the text editor. I see it in the block settings, but not the text editor as shown in the tutorial. Do you know why that would happen? I do use Mighty plug in with Rise. Could this be the reason all options aren't displaying as they should? I can accomplish everything with the AI option in block settings, but it would be nice to follow along verbatim with the tutorial. Thanks!

Never mind. It's a browser issue with Chrome. :-)

3 main changes:
- Changed the layout of several blocks using the instant convert feature.
- Prompted AI to rewrite a few blocks to summarize what was there in an engaging tone.
- Incorporated AI audio in a few blocks.
Most Valuable AI Feature:
For Rise, instant convert. There have been several times in the past when I would start out creating a Rise course and would want to change the block I used. This saves an incredible amount of time and I can see it in several different formats before choosing.
For Storyline, the AI Assistant chat feature. I especially like the sync text with audio. I used it for a racing gamified course outside of this cohort and found that very valuable.
Challenges:
The AI course build is nice, but it does add a lot more text blocks than I'd like, even with the interaction piece turned on. So I found myself spending a lot of time tweaking each block using AI, when it would have been nice to be able to dictate percentage of interaction vs. text only blocks at the beginning.
It also was very slow to respond when I was in there trying to adjust pieces and add blocks.
- JeanMarrapodi-cPeer Guide
What a clever way to incorporate the pillars in your images, TeriCremeans-da! I love how you did that. I love that instant convert piece too. A real timesaver, for sure.

Hi Everyone, I was able to get a early jump on this - https://share.articulate.com/a6SKzq1_m-Oj0aEqS_9zR
- Share 3 changes you made
- I made an image prompt off of a paragraph, created the image and added hotspots
- I converted paragraphs in small scenarios
- Used AI to add audio captions
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable
- I love the instant convert - being able to "try out" what might be best for the learner is so valuable
- What challenges
- Getting the AI images right can be tricky when not using an already created prompt
- BrianGardner-27Community Member
I really like how clean the flow of your course is. I struggle with having too much information in my accordion blocks, but I really like how it was simple and to the point and included a Tip for the learner. Nice Work!
So far it seems the instant convert is the clear "winner" among the AI features, have you noticed it changes what you use? (I ask because I didn't realize how much I defaulted to certain blocks until the convert feature 😂)
- TeriCremeans-daCommunity Member
Nice clean course! I love the bold purple color and how you used that to highlight the headers. I also like the use of the audio on the image - like telling a story of the image.
My favorite AI feature is also the instant convert. I have been wanting that type of feature for a long time and it really is great to see your content in different formats with a click of a button!

It has been over four years since I last used Rise, so I was a bit rusty since most of my CBL development is done in Storyline.
Share 3 changes you made: I simplified the content tone throughout, added a strong opening hook and bolded key terms, and incorporated AI-generated images, audio scenarios, knowledge checks, a final quiz, and a course summary. These changes increased engagement, improved retention, and reinforced learning.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable: The most valuable AI capability was improving writing and adjusting tone. It helped me quickly create clear, learner-friendly content and significantly reduced development time. I was surprised by how well it generated questions, summaries, and alternative content.
What challenges did you face: The biggest challenge was creating images that matched my vision. AI often required multiple prompt refinements, and I learned that detailed prompts and clear context were critical for getting the desired results.

Hi Michelle,
Your course looked great! I loved your use of AI images and audio. Great job!
- JeanMarrapodi-cPeer Guide
The pictures add so much to this course. I'm glad that you added them to the different interactions. It makes things so much more engaging.
I appreciate the ability to adjust the tone as well. It helps my courses to be a little different from each other.
- ValerieButler-dCommunity Member
I liked how you made your course more learner-friendly overall. You bolded key words, you alternated colors of blocks, you added in summaries at the end of lessons. All things that help the brain retain infor and orient them in what can sometimes seem like a flood of content that ends up all sounding the same! I also liked how you added images to the tabs interaction. I forgot you could do that!

- Interactives - flip cards with image & audio - multiple learning styles
- Breakdown of large paragraphs into bullet lists - easier on learner
- Downloadable .pdfs -- can print and take the training with them -- for reflection and actionable takeaway.
- Custom CODE blocks - utilizing ChatGPT to create interactive scenario-based reflection and review opportunities.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why?
- Ability to add image, audio to convey context and not just text.
- What challenges
- just that AI images do seem to stray even if you use the same 'custom' prompting -- or sometimes it wasn't able to pool information between blocks.
- MichelleFili153Community Member
Hi Brian,
- The course page is organized well, with topics grouped clearly and supported by a key point review and personal reflection.
- The consistent AI image theme creates a cohesive look and feel throughout the training.
- The AI image synced with audio was impressive; I would love to learn how you created it so I can replicate that approach.
- The variation in voices adds interest and helps keep the learner engaged.
- The flashcard images work well and support visual continuity across the asset.
- The blend of interactive elements is strong and makes the course more engaging.
- The downloadable job aids for manager reflection questions are a great takeaway, almost like a “party bag” gift after the training episode.
- The Key Strategies Interactive Practice and Self Reflection components are excellent; I would also love to learn how you built those using CODE blocks in Chat GPT.
- One small update: remove the extra “Correct” text in the knowledge check feedback.
Excellent work!
- KevinDevin-f313Community Member
Nice work BrianGardner-27! I like the vibe-coded custom code blocks as well as the interactive image with audio - nice touch.
- JeanMarrapodi-cPeer Guide
I really like the style of the images you chose. That's a differentiator. One question for you: in your opening narration, you have your character looking off to her right as if she were in conversation with someone. I found myself wishing she would look at me rather than someone I couldn't see. I wondered why you chose this way instead of facing the camera.

- Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
- Used Quick Convert to change tabs into flash cards
- Included AI-generated images
- Included carousel action planning at the end of the course to guide users on implementing the ideas within their team
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you? The AI blocks and Instant Convert are a real time-saver. I like that a knowledge check can quickly be generated from content as a part of this feature. I was most surprised by the initial lesson produced. Before I made changes and edited the content, it was a good first draft.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? When prompting for images, if the result does not meet expectation, looking for ways to be more specific.
- AdelaideDoyle-NCommunity Member
Hi Ashton,
I really liked the clean and bold look and feel of your lessons. Each lesson follows a nice flow so the learner knows what to expect.
Hey Ashton, I'd love to know if you keep experimenting with the course creation for drafts! Anecdotally it seems that the subject matter is a huge determining factor in the quality of the course as a launching point.
- AdelaideDoyle-NCommunity Member
Hi all,
Here's my version - https://share.articulate.com/I3YaX9oXXMsj_AHNaj7b8
Share 3 changes you made:
- I changed the heading and paragraph for each topic using the AI Instant covert to Image and Text. This added a touch of animation along with more visual interest.
- I took the paragraph under the hero images and converted it with the AI speech generator. This took some of the already heavy text-based course and converted it to audio.
- Added a quiz at the end with the Quiz generator.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable:
- I found the Instant convert tool helpful. It gave me consistency and made quick changes.
What challenges:
- I found the quiz generator to give me the most grief. It took many prompt versions to finally get something I was happy with.
- AshtonEbarb-2e8Community Member
Hi AdelaideDoyle,
I really like the calm color tone throughout your course and images. It fit well with the theme of the lesson! Also, the audio voiceover for images was interesting and felt like a motivational hook within lessons.

I really enjoyed the structure of your course and the use of AI images.

Hi AdelaideDoyle-N.
I hear you on the quiz generator. Sometimes I've found the quiz questions the AI generates to be inconsequential or wimpy. What kinds of things did you use to prompt it to improve them?
- AdelaideDoyle-NCommunity Member
Hi JeanMarrapodi-c ,
Truthfully I rarely if ever use quizzes. All of our evaluations are project based and I only used it because it was required for this exercise 😁. I know this isn't the response you were looking for, sorry. I'm sure I could come up with a better prompt if I spend more time on it.
- DanEpsteinCommunity Member
The AI-created draft of my course included the following photo:
Note that all the women are barefoot. All the men are wearing shoes. Needless to say, I didn't use the photo.
To be honest, I have many misgivings about AI in general. I believe this technology should be used vary carefully and that humans should remain very much in control.
- MichelleFili153Community Member
DanEpstein That is so funny! I was just creating a video using Google Flow and I had a similar situation. You need to have your inspector vision on when reviewing the images.
- KevinDevin-f313Community Member
DanEpstein That is so bizarre... I was having similar issues with AI-generated images where screen images would appear on the back of the monitor or laptop rather than on the actual screen.
- DanEpsteinCommunity Member
I got the back of the laptop monitor thing, too, but only when I asked for photorealistic monochromatic line drawings. Also got a lot of extra arms and hands.
- IngaBryantCommunity Member
I had a very finicky AI when it came to image generation. Below is one of a few examples. Not sure what's happening with the "relationships" column.
- DanEpsteinCommunity Member
Indeed. Did your prompt include displaying people?

In my course I made I really utilized the AI image and customization of the image. It really made the course lesson stand out. This was something I enjoyed very much. The next thing I used was the AI audio, I truly believe adding audio breaks up the content a bit. The end user can listen intead of read through a lot of text. Lastly creating the quiz using AI made life easier. I didn't have to think about the questions and let AI handle it and it did a great job sticking with the course content. I truly didn't face any challenges.
- IngaBryantCommunity Member
Hi! I loved the images – they truly add value to the text. I wonder how many times it took you to re-ask AI and generate what we see in the course. In my experience, any images with a text confuses AI and it takes a bit to polish the final look.
In the 2nd lesson, “Reflecting on Your Team Culture” section, the flip card text and alignment is different on one card. Same in the 3rd lesson – one out of 6 cards have a different text size and alignment. In the 3rd lesson, “Understanding and Addressing Burnout” section there is no text, just a title. Another suggestion – transform some of the accordion features to some other ones for variety. In the quiz, question 1, has square icons for answers, which would indicate multiple correct answers; however, there is only one correct (therefore, should be a circular icon). Ame for #5 answer structure.
- JeanMarrapodi-cPeer Guide
What fun to have chosen line drawings for your illustrations, rgonzalez ! I liked those. They had a New Yorker make me think about it feel. That added interesing insights to the process. I especially liked your reflection question where you had a conversation (sort of) with the learner. That was a really good focal point.
Watch out in your questions for your quiz that the selectors match the type of question. Your first question had one answer but there were squares, which indicate a multiselect question. I've seen that in a bunch of these so I'm thinking that the AI doesn't know any better. But now you do!

- 3 changes I made - 1) limited multiple choice or multiple response question-type responses to only 3 responses, 2) Eliminated on-screen text for any audio elements being used, transcripts are automatically available, 3) Attempted to space out personnel in images to make it more realistic (though I used 3D AI-generated images)
- Most valuable AI feature or capability - Image generation was very handy despite the challenges to getting the prompt just right to get what I was looking for.
- Challenges - Image generation seemed to be the toughest at times, but it really wasn't that bad.
- BelleHabsCommunity Member
I love your images. It feels more realistic for sure. I'm going to try using that option next time.
- RussellEngoranCommunity Member
Really liked your AI 3D images. Blended together nicely!
Did you find any patterns in what prompts seemed to create better images? We're always looking for what works best!
- KevinDevin-f313Community Member
Hi Mary!
I can't say there were any real patterns per se, more along the lines of telling it what I wanted and what I didn't want.
The thing that bugs me most with "stock photo-like" AI-generated images is that it'll drop 5-7 people all in a small space, facing "the camera", with a myriad of different technologies in front of them, with a few of them making some form of hand gesture. If it were a real situation, there would be HR violations in there somewhere. So, I often choose to reduce the number of people and try to spread them out a little to provide personal space, and that seems to work. YMMV

- Three changes made:
- I added images to flip cards that I used my custom prompts to generate while keeping them in a matching theme.
- Added custom blocks with AI Audio for helpful advice to people leaders.
- Attached AI audio to AI images for openings on different lessons.
- Most Valuable AI Feature:
- Using the prompts to create multiple versions of content. I feel this is very helpful, especially when you ask AI to use the Open with a Hook Strategy.
- Challenges:
- Biggest challenge was building my custom prompts to ensure that I could get a consistent theme for photos in a group.
- TeriCremeans-daCommunity Member
I love your flash cards. Did AI create those images with the text overlay? I'll need to try that with flash cards next time.
Your theme is clear throughout and the leader advice areas were a nice touch!
