Here is my course:

- Three changes I made were: 1. used AI to change images to give the course a gentler feel 2. Instant convert to quickly switch up blocks for interactivity 3. I used AI to change the tone and focus to make it more friendly and approachable
- The instant convert hands down because I could change it up and have numerous interactive sections but different at the same time.
- I'm very happy to say I had no challenges!

The course has a strong foundation with engaging elements. I especially liked the soft green color palette, it created a calm and welcoming feel that aligned well with the topic of team happiness and fulfillment.
A few observations that stood out to me:
- Visuals throughout the course were engaging and supported the content well. One opportunity to further enhance the design could be to consider using a more consistent visual style throughout.
- Mixing styles can work well when intentional but using imagery with a similar look and feel can help create an even more cohesive learner experience.
- The course makes good use of interactive blocks throughout. As you continue developing courses, exploring additional Rise interactions or custom blocks could be a great way to add variety and create even more opportunities for learner engagement and exploriation.
- Another way to add flow and readability is using additional spacing, background colors, or visual breaks when transitioning between topics, statements, and interactive activities.
- This could help guide the learner through the content and create clearer sections throughout the course.

I used the AI Assistant to:
- Create and modify images.
- Revise text by making it shorter, longer, more engaging, or more learner-friendly.
- Convert engagement blocks into different interactive formats.
The AI Assistant made it easy to get started with course development and streamline content creation. I found the content conversion feature and image generation capabilities especially helpful, as they saved time and provided a strong foundation for building engaging learning experiences.
Thanks, Paula

Good job! The course has a nice visual foundation. It was visually clean and easy to follow, and the color choices and imagery work well together to support the overall presentation.
- Nice contrast between the white and black, with a hint of baby blue, which makes the content easy to read.
- Good use of imagery that connects to the content.
- The clean design creates a simple, polished look and keeps the focus on the content.
- Since you already have a strong foundation
- One opportunity to build on the design would be incorporating a couple of Custom Blocks or interactive elements to add another layer of engagement and give learners different ways to interact with the content

1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific.
- I used generated images to make the content more engaging.
- I used generated AI audio for a short story.
- I used the generated knowledge check questions.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
- I liked how the "Edit with AI" option allowed you to personalize the content to what you needed.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- For the Quiz, first I tried to do it as quiz lesson, but the AI option was not pulling information from the course. I create a regular lesson and added the AI generated questions there.
- ShimellHPeer Guide
Gracia,
I enjoyed reviewing your microlearning. There are several thoughtful visual and design choices (i.e.,color, charts, and audio ) that gave the course a nice balance and help make the content engaging and easy to follow.
- Creative visuals: The visuals align well with the content and create a nice, visual experience.
- Flip cards: The first card appears slightly misaligned compared to the others, so you may want to double-check the alignment.
- Use of color: Good use of color to separate sections of text, which makes the content easier to follow.
- Chart: I really liked the use of the chart in the Recognizing Individual Motivators. It makes the information more digestible and is a good example of using a visual to support the content.
- Aligning Personal and Organizational Goals: This section was especially creative. The comic-book-style visuals paired with audio were an engaging way to reinforce the point and make the content more memorable.

Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad we can partner with AI tools to take our imagination and creativity to the next level—something that, in the past, would have required far more time and resources.

Hello All,
I tried to make a new block, but I faced a challenge in uploading a proper source file because my file was in RTF mode and not in.doc format, and the source couldn't be accepted. Other cosmetic changes were easy to handle. Thanks.

Tagging AlyssaGomez to see if she can provide you with any assistance (or send someone to your rescue should you need it!).
In the meantime, you might find in the future that you are able to convert the RTF document into at least a PDF by doing the "print to PDF" trick. That's how I can get some conversions to work without losing too much information.Hi dsdcruze and giveitathought! Thanks for tagging me here! I agree that converting the RTF to PDF is a good suggestion. Let us know how it goes!

It was fun experimenting. This experience led me to try multiple AI functions I hadn't tried before!

I really like that you coupled your voice task with the images, that was a nice touch. Great use of the different stylized blocks to break up the course visually as well.
Do you see this as being helpful for future course creation?

Hi everyone! Sharing my Rise AI Project! This was a lot of fun!
https://share.articulate.com/i7Lzk7PXwVJvTmauOJI4J
1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes?
The original AI-generated layout felt repetitive, with a lot of accordion and process blocks. I wanted to keep the course interactive, but make the interactions feel more purposeful rather than having learners click through content just to reveal more text.
I focused on creating more of a read, learn, and apply approach. Some of the changes I made included adding sorting and matching activities, using scenarios that allowed learners to make choices, and adding reflection questions that asked them to think about how the content could apply to their own team. I also changed some of the original accordion and process blocks into tables, flashcards, and other layouts to create more variety throughout the course.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
The AI voice-over feature was probably the most valuable for me. Instead of having to record my own voice, I can quickly create narration that sounds consistent throughout the course. I also really appreciate the transcript option because it makes it easier to provide an accessible alternative for learners.
I use this feature pretty often in my regular work, and it continues to be one of the AI tools I appreciate the most. I wouldn't necessarily say it surprised me, but I have been impressed with how much easier it makes adding audio without creating a lot of extra work.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
One challenge was that some of the AI-generated descriptions were initially pretty dense or long-winded. I used the AI “shorter” option quite a bit, which helped, but there were times when it would return almost the exact same wording without actually shortening it. That may have been something on my end, but it sometimes took a few attempts to get the length I wanted.
I also had some challenges with the AI image generator. When I asked for office or workplace images, it tended to add corporate logos, graphs, or random text. I found that being very specific in my prompts helped. Adding instructions like “no logos,” “no graphs,” and “no wording from the prompt” usually gave me a cleaner image that better fit what I was looking for.

Really enjoyed the course! Great use of color (backgrounds) and visuals, very easy to follow, and really appreciated the flashcards with images.
- ReneYappCommunity Member
I, too, was struck by the use of backgrounds throughout your course. Your use of images brought the concepts to light. You certainly had a lot of variety in the blocks you chose. The choice seems purposeful to match the learning journey. I do not use table often enough in my own practices. Your examples have given me inspiration to do so.
- ShimellHPeer Guide
You did a good job using color and visual elements to delineate between the sections throughout the course. The design choices felt intentional, really supported the content, and created a visually pleasing experience.
- The charts in The Four Pillars of Workplace Happiness and Engagement in Action are great. They break the content down into digestible, bite-sized pieces and make the information easier to take in.
- The scenario was engaging and did a nice job of reinforcing the different pillars and why they matter to the learner.
- Suggestion: Take a quick look at the font treatment for consistency. The text in one of the options was not bold like the other two choices
- MateaCommunity Member
Hi! I'm sharing my link to the course.
Three changes I made:
- I shortened text-heavy sections to make the content easier to scan.
- I added interactive blocks and reflection questions to encourage active participation.
- I generated images in a consistent visual style to create a more cohesive experience.
These changes made the course more engaging, visually consistent, and relevant to managers.
Most valuable AI feature: AI image generation was the most valuable because it helped me create relevant visuals quickly. I was surprised by how much the results improved with detailed, consistent prompts.
Challenges: Maintaining the same visual style across all images was challenging. I had to refine my prompts and generate several variations to achieve consistent results.
- dsdcruzePeer Guide
I really love the color palette you chose (the maroon is a lovely shade). I might encourage a little more image use to help liven it up, but this is such a low-stakes project, it is not imperative. I understand that getting the images just right can be challenging.
Once I got the image prompts I liked, I started to save them in a "library" off to the side so I wouldn't have to remember what I prompted for the next course. Or if colleague asked, I could provide the information to them.
One feature I found that helped me, this is me sharing and is not commenting on your course because your course looks fine, was utilizing the "tone" aspect of the AI Assistant. I am extremely verbose, and so having the AI Assistant converting my tone to be more consistent or concise was the most useful when I went through the cohort.
I hope you found this useful and enjoyed the cohort and will be able to use the AI Assistant moving forward.

https://share.articulate.com/yJjU7rNsJBy1CQ4u96LZU So first I will say that I did some things in here that I would likely never do in real life. In Lesson 2 I changed all the images to be 3D animated characters, and in Lesson 3 I did the custom AI image and had it "gothic movie theme." That is a bit wild. Not sure that it really works with the content but it was fun. I like that Rise is quick, interactive and intuitive for the students. Prior to this cohort I created a course using my departments policy orders. A very long, dry, leagalese document from which we are required to work. Rise was able to create a "new hire" type course that introduces the policy order to newly hired employees and it was honestly an excellent unofficial source to help those onboarding. I guess the only thing that I get concerned about is security. I deal with a lot of proprietary and sensitive material. I know this software is fedramped but I think I will need assurances (for bosses mostly) to ensure that security is tight enough to use.
- dsdcruzePeer Guide
It's fun experimenting with some of the things the AI Assistant can do in a cohort such as this. I know what you mean though - there are a lot of things I wouldn't do in my daily work, but it was fun stretching a bit for this.
I love the images you used with the flip cards in lesson one. The course material for the cohort is nice, but it can be dry and the images you chose were nice. I can see what you mean about lesson two - it feels like a Pixar movie and in lesson three - a Guillermo del Toro film.
So I may have missed the AI voices in your lesson, but don't worry about it too much. A fun block that I used was the "custom block" to create a lesson-ending key takeaway.
Custom block that uses AI Voice at the end of the lessonIf you can convince your work about the security (I am in healthcare so we have similar concerns), I think you'll find this will make your work so much easier, especially with what you're saying about helping ease new hires into legalese.
Thank you for sharing your course!

I was running light on scheduled time so I may have overlooked the AI voice prompt. I have used the AI voices a lot in the past both in Rise and Storyline. I will get back in and play with that later in the week if I can schedule it. Do you (or anyone) know if it is possible to prompt the AI voice to "emote" specific ways? I was encouraged looking at the scenario created by another member. I have a course that currently has a video produced in 1990 or so. It was fully acted out between a manager and a "misbehaving" contractor. It is currently a watch and discuss type event. Is there an instruction document that I have not uncovered yet that suggests how I could provide direction to the voices?

I started by adding AI images throughout the course to strengthen it visually, which I find to be the easiest addition. Next, I used instant convert to create some flashcards and sorting sections from the accordion blocks that were created by the course originally. I think this added to the variability of the way the content was presented and engaged the learner in other ways. Lastly, I created AI image prompts and then created AI images for the front of the flashcards. I think this was my favorite tutorial from the rise activities! I like how the images look visually on front of the flashcards as another way to present a key word. Then on the back of the card is the definition and the bolded key word.
I think the AI feature that's most valuable is the instant convert. Since I often use AI to create a course instead of from scratch, I already have a base to start from. There are more things to convert where I see fit and allows me to be more creative.
One tricky thing about AI is creating images and making sure that the prompt is accurate. Word choice is important and I have to make sure to review my prompt especially when I use the 'create and AI image prompt' feature.

1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
a) I used the open with a hook strategy on the first section, “The Four Pillars of Team Happiness” to help draw learners into the content.
b) In the section, “Building Trust, Engagement, and Resilient Team Culture,” in the part where learners can expand the accordion to learn about trust, engagement, and Resilience, I used AI to generate pictures that aligned with the theme of each piece.
c) Using AI, I made a course conclusion section after the quiz. The AI in Rise and Storyline are such helpful tools to have and use.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
I really found it helpful to change the tone and length of the text. That was nice to have and made the work fast. Also, being able to convert a block to an interaction, while that may not always produce something I want to use, it gave me ideas to further build out what I wanted.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
Some of the AI generated images were very elaborate. I remembered learning from one of the videos that it is not necessarily the prompt that could cause this, but the image style. I copied the image style and pasted that into the custom style, made some modifications, and got closer to what I was wanting.
- ShaliniSashidhaCommunity Member
I like the shape and color you have given some of the images and spaces in your course. This is something I would like to experiment with when I am using Rise to create other courses.

David,
Good job on this course! I really enjoyed the visual design and interactive elements throughout.- I really liked the use of visuals and the color choices leading into each lesson. They created a consistent and visually appealing experience and helped provide a clear transition between sections.
- I also appreciated the variety of interactive blocks throughout the course. Using different interaction types helps keep the learning experience engaging and gives learners multiple ways to interact with the content. This is something I’ve noticed across several courses in the cohort, and I think it contributes positively to learner engagement.
