- I added some photos to the front of flip cards in order to make it more engaging. There was a lot of black and white in the course so adding color and photos helps with re-engaging. I also added the continue button a few places to help with pacing. I also changes them to HAVE to take a knowledge assessment before moving on. Also changed some text to lists in order to stregnthen engagement.
- Making quizes- the ablility to have AI give a place to begin with knowledge assessment. This is super helpful because we often have to build it seperately and it was nice to have this feature included.
- There are several places to use AI depending on what I wanted done and sometimes I was clicking the wrong one and was confused why what opened was not what I was expecting. I just had to get to the right page/section first.

Hi All! Here is a link to my course.
- Changes I made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement are as follows: Using AI to adjust text length and tone; Generating images throughout; Instant convert from numbered list to Tabs interaction; Incorporating knowledge check question; Magic Text Import for a Scenario block; Audio testimonials
- The AI feature or capability I found most valuable is a tie between the Magic Text Import for a Scenario block and the Generate Quiz functionality.
- The main challenge I faced was when generating audio clips. Several times I would select a voice from the "View all voices" library, click Use Voice, then get a message that the voice was unavailable. I tried to recreate the issue today and all is working as expected, so maybe it was just a short-term glitch?

Good Morning! Is there any other way to receive the download file to finish the course? I am unable to use the option from the Week 2 Activities. TY!

AlyssaGomez - is there any other way that AmberHibberd can get the files for this course if she is unable to download from the course resources?

The new chatbot feature is DA BOMB. We've been struggling with how to add a chatbot to a Rise course and....it's here!
Here is my quick share link -

- I made the following changes - a) added bullet points instead of paragraph to provide succinct information, b) removed unnecessary blocks to keep the course short and easy to understand, c) added quiz covering all topics to check learners reflect on what they have learned in the course.
- A lot of different AI features were valuable. I think being able to see multiple Versions, formatting key words, changing feedback type were very useful.
- Changing color of bold words were challenging. In the preview, it shows that the color was changed but when I inserted the block, it didn't work (please see attachment).
Thank you for the training! It was fantastic 😍

israt Thanks for sharing your course, the look and feel was very cohesive throughout. The summary block with the audio was a great way to wrap up the content.
You are not the only one to mention that had some difficulty getting the bolding to stick with the AI assistant. There must have been some change or hiccup with that feature along the way - thanks for mentioning it so it can be looked into! israt The green color choice, along with the visuals and imagery, complements the topic well and helps guide the learner through the content. I also really liked the custom block used for the course summary. It was a creative way to reinforce the key takeaways while giving the ending a interactive and professional feel.

Now I want to go back into all my existing courses and update them.🤣

JasonDreyer-5c2 I know, right!? It's so tempting to want to crack open the older projects to add the new tricks!
I really liked your use of audio throughout your course to provide different options to view the content.

I found this to be quite interesting. The one challenge I came across was in a self generated knowledge check. This was from the entire Rise AI course build, not me asking for a specific question where I would have controlled the type. It generated what was described in the question as a matching exercise but the answers were multiple choice with choices like A-1, D-3, etc. I tried to use the AI to change the question to matching to match the description but all it would do is change it to multiple response with the same answer options. It was easy enough to delete it and create a new matching question but the behaviour was odd.
Thank you for allowing me to take part in this cohort.

My course came out accordian heavy so I changed some to tabs. - Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
The ability to develop image prompts from texts is most valuable to me as I learn to develop more detailed prompts. - What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
There are times it still ignores my requests to leave text out of images when generated. In Storyline, I have had instances using AI JS where we go back and forth for a long time before I will ask it pointedly if it is capable of doing what I am asking and it then says no I can't. This can be frustrating. An example of that was in animating items to the screen at specific points on the timeline when the objects are in groups. It would animate one object to the correct place but the other object in the group did not. After much back and forth it told me to ungroup them, apply the animation then regroup them. I was fine with that but we lost about 20 minutes of it telling me it could do it prior to that.

TimHillier Thanks so much for sharing your learning! I totally get your frustration with the AI prompts when the AI continues to do the exact same thing you tell it not to. I find it really interesting it told YOU how to fix it, versus doing it itself.

I improved engagement by adding audio, updating images, and changing the interaction block types to create a more interactive learning experience. I also condensed the text to make it more user-friendly and updated the blocks to better fit the course content.
The most valuable addition was the audio feature. I really enjoyed incorporating it because it gives learners the option to either read along or listen, helping support different learning styles and improving accessibility.
One challenge was deciding which interaction types worked best for the content while still keeping the experience simple and easy to follow.
Thanks for this cohort. It was a great opportunity to learn and experiment with new skills.

KimHarper Thanks for sharing your course and your learning along the way. I agree, it's hard to choose sometimes with so many different options at your fingertips!
I really liked your use of audio in the beginning of each section to really emphasize the intro and the "why."

Three modifications:
- Using the Convert with AI tool to make a paragraph more interactive.
- Developing AI Image styles to match a minimalist cartoon style in the first lesson with the last.
- Used AI audio to create a reflection exercise midpoint to engage the participant.
Most valuable: AI audio for narration so I don't have to narrate myself.
Most challenging: creating an AI image that looked realistic, so I transitioned to a more animated style.
- lane_jacolePeer Guide
JBHill - thanks for sharing your course. I really liked your use of the audio in the midpoint reflection, what a great way to emphasize content in a different way!
I have also found that photo-realistic AI imagery is pretty difficult to prompt to get it looking exactly how you want!

Hello to all! What a great experience this has been. Here is a link to my course, if anyone wants to to a peek.

The three changes I made were:
Adding a custom block with audio. I love custom blocks so much and created one at the start of each of the lessons.
AI Generated images with custom style prompts for all images in the course. What a way to ensure consistency in images across a build. I tend towards MCM so I used that in my prompt.
Changed Feedback type by removing the reference to correct/incorrect. I never liked the duplicative wording and love that I can now easily remove it.
I made other changes, color, block width, dividers, etc. to make chunk on the content like many that have posted before me.
As for which AI feature I intend to use the most, it's definitely the "sync text and objects to audio" in Storyline. Almost all of my builds includes some text appearing on screen in time with audio, so this will be something I leverage often. For challenges, honestly, it was learning to be better at writing image prompts. I sort of gave up on AI image generation (sorry!) but now that I have practiced a bit and know to use the custom style prompts, I look forward to using it more and more.
Big thanks to Articulate and everyone here. Love the community of learning.🤩

aghearst I loved the custom blocks at the beginning of each lesson - the AI voice you chose was so zen for my brain this morning.😌 Image prompting is definitely something that takes a LOT of trial and error with some patience sprinkled in for good measure.

I agree with JBHill! I love the way you made the images cohesive and in a united color scheme throughout - it creates such a polished product!
The course has a fresh, polished, and visually appealing design. The pink and green color combination works really well together, giving the course a creative, vibrant, and modern feel. It reminds me of one of the D9 sororities whenever I see these two colors together.
I also liked the imagery used throughout the course it appears to use a mix of collage-style graphics, illustrated elements, and modern stock-style visuals that help keep the content engaging, visually cohesive, and learner-friendly.
