Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- The Instant Convert feature in Rise was the easiest for me to work with. It was helpful to take the same content and instantly see it as flashcards, an accordion, or a sorting activity without rebuilding anything. I also liked how quickly I could generate quizzes from existing content. It added more depth to the course and gave me simple ways to adjust difficulty so the knowledge checks felt more intentional.
What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I was surprised by how well the image generator handled consistency. Adding a hex code or choosing a style made it easy to keep a unified look across the whole course. I also didn’t expect the accessibility support in Storyline to be so helpful. It made it much easier to bring a project up to accessibility standards without a lot of manual work.

I also like that they incorporated AI into the accessibility checker and plan on utilizing it in the future.

Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
Definitely the text to speech. The AI voices are impressive. We currently use a different AI voice generation program, but I can see us transitioning to these being a huge time-saver (audio generation, closed captions), especially when paired with alt text generation.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
The image generation seemed at once very literal and somewhat unpredictable. I also get a lot of uncanny valley in AI photorealistic images.

The rewrite and shorten tools were the most useful. Often the content already exists. The problem is clarity. Sentences run long. Ideas get buried.
AI helped tighten the language fast. I could drop in a paragraph and ask it to shorten or simplify it. Within seconds I had a cleaner version that was easier for learners to scan. That saved time and helped keep slides focused.
The biggest challenge was getting the prompt right. When my request was vague, the result was vague. The AI filled in gaps with generic language that did not always fit the course.
Once I gave clearer direction, such as audience, tone, and purpose, the results improve. I started treating it less like a content creator and more like an editing partner. That mindset made the tool much more useful.

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
The most useful feature for me is definitely the blocks building one and the instant block conversion one, as it allows me to quickly experiment with different layouts of the same information in rise without having to do them 1 by 1. It is very time efficient, and intuitive to use.
2. Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I think shorten and generate a script were very very useful because they allow you to work on different aspects of a content (for instance text and image) as you are in your workflow, without having to disturb it too much and make you switch between activities.

Hi Nisa! Love your point about not having to interrupt your workflow too much, it's such an underrated struggle to have to stop, switch, and start a new component or task in order to finish something else.

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?A: The tools to re-write text, shortening or lengthening, changing tone, etc. felt very easy to use and responsive to my intent. Adjusting to different audiences and reading levels was a helpful tool.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? A: A consistent issue with image generation is trying to reproduce not just a similar style or look and feel, but a specific character for use across multiple images. It requires an extremely detailed prompt and iteration to get the desired outcome.

Thanks for the nice exercises! Very helpful and fun to complete!
In Rise 360 it looked all as shown in the videos. In Storyline 360, I think we are not up-to-date for now. The highest voice version was at V2.5 and the AI Assistant was not the same. But it worked fine as well.🤩
What didn't work was the whole AI for Slide Animations. So, a little bit of manual work but that's also fine.
unfortunately I have a problem to preview the scene or play the voice on a slide as soon AI generated Text-to-Speech was added to the timeline. Error report is send to Articulate!😢 - CindyDu-c916dddCommunity Member
I really like the "Generate Lesson Summary" function within the AI assistant tool. It gives me high level summary and then I can tailor it as making it longer, adding more details, or shorten it based on my needs. Tried many times generating images but the challenge was how to maintain them consistent and reliable since each time they give me totally different figure with same description. I hope it will be more manageable soon :-)
Overall, the AI assistant function saved me a lot of time on a certain task.

Here are some of my thoughts based on my exploration and learning this week. I hope to return to some of the videos again because there was so much to take in:
What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I was surprised by the Rise capability to convert PDFs and other documents into course content so quickly. For me, sometimes just having a starting point when faced with a lot of information can be a huge time-saver.
Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I really liked seeing that AI editing included a text editor in Storyline in addition to Rise. That was news to me! I appreciate the ability to make text into bullets and the command to shorten text, too.

Here are the questions I selected to answer:
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
I wasn’t necessarily surprised, but I was impressed by the custom image generator. The quality of the images has noticeably improved compared to when the feature was first introduced.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why? I found the change tone feature especially valuable. It will be helpful for ensuring that content maintains a consistent tone across materials, which supports clarity and a more unified voice.

Thank you for putting together the wonderful tutorials! I found the exercises to be quite meaningful and applicable in my day-to-day activities.

I really love the shortening / lengthening option when creating some text. David's example of shortening to allow for accessibility / larger font sizes really resonated with me. I run into the exact same scenario all the time, and this feature will definitely be in my back pocket.Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
Being able to create an AI image prompt is very helpful. At times AI can come up with minor details that we may overlook. The image that is generated is only as good as the prompts we provide, so the fact that we can use AI to come up with the perfect prompt is super cool!- Mrigna2611Community Member
AbinasUthayakum I agree! Both these aspects are immensely valuable.
