What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
Very positive experience. I do think the "download all" option. Helps in keeping the similar style throughout the course. Plus i'd hate to see an image i like and unable to find it again. Download All 👍
Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I really enjoyed changing the tone and found it very valuable. The tone is important when considering your target audience.

I agree about the download all option. I've found myself with an AI image that's close, but when I try to prompt it closer it doesn't work - so being able to download one that's close and then use it as the reference for refinement I think will be a gamechanger.

True, I also like the Download All feature. It helps maintain consistency in style throughout the course.

For me, I have already been using the AI Assistant to generate knowledge checks in Rise for a while, and I love how easy it is to generate questions and edit them. It's so much easier than starting from scratch. But I really love the ability in Rise to convert one block type to another, including taking a text block and converting it into a knowledge check directly.
I also like the AI text editing options and the summary ability in both Rise and Storyline. Fantastic.

What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
I was really impressed with how AI Assistant was able to take Ginger's content and create a course with it (with learning objectives!) and was even more blown away by the types of source materials that can be uploaded. I don’t recall this being addressed in the video, but I am curious about the source materials - what happens to them after the course has been created? Are they stored and/or used to further train Articulate’s AI assistant? Despite the privacy concerns, I can see how this can make course creation so much more efficient.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
I found the image generation the most challenging and time-consuming, but I do believe it’s partly because my prompting skills aren’t the greatest. I do appreciate that there are presets available for those of us who are newer to prompting.

- The editing tools - The shorten and change tone.
- AI feature that was useful to use was the summary and key points.

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities? The most intuitive feature is the AI Block that allows you to summarize the lesson or put together a list of key points. This is SO helpful and could be a great tool for putting together quizzes or discussion topics.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? The things that surprised me the most is that you need to be really careful with the prompts you use. If you use too much detail, it could make for a really crowded messy image. If you don't give enough information in the prompt AI will kind of make it up themselves which also is not as helpful. You must be mindful and strategic on creating your prompts.

Being able to convert blocks to different types instantly saves me so much time when I'm not sure which block type to use or want to change things up. I love how quick it is and how little editing is needed after converting. This is something I'll be using often.

Getting AI-generated images that don't contain gibberish or people with three arms can be frustrating! Thankfully, the generator makes it easy to keep generating new images until I get one that I like.

Wow! Honestly? The Image generation is amazing! I Tested 3 more illustration styles besides the one in the exercise and all of them were super accurate! Mild AI text inconsistencies but overall pretty nice! - Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
The shorten one is my favorite. I love that we have quick access to predetermined and most used editing tools for a quick turnaround instead of going into editing and writing the prompt!

So I have another question. Where do we submit our Rise Guided Practice? I saw today at the office hours that there is a link to submit it but I can't find it. Anyone knows?
- JoshuaLampaCommunity Member
Following this because I cannot find it either.🤔

I re-watched part of the office hours video and found where we are supposed to submit our practice. Go to the Week 2 section and open the link in Step 2. It has all the directions and the link to submit is at that bottom.

Oh! But that's for the 2nd practice. Right?

Converting blocks. This was a great feature because there are times where I've added all the content to one type of block and decided that it wasn’t the right fit after seeing it complete. Converting to a different block type saves SO much time! - What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? Some of the text added to the image weren’t real words. For example, with the AI image creation activity 3rd card, one of the images showed a phone with text “Ad nerte Ad aw” on it making the image unusable.

Reading what you wrote about #2 literally made me crack up laughing 🤣! There's something about seeing that in quotes that makes me laugh super hard. I mean it's certainly not funny when you're trying to get some visuals created under a deadline, but I find the mention of it here hilarious! I encountered the same thing and I'm noticing others in this thread are too. Hopefully, more updates by Articulate address this over time.

Hiya, I have selected the following two questions.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? The animation option was great to see; it will save time. 😀
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I have enjoyed using the AI text-to-speech feature, and the captions in Rise are excellent in English. Additionally, I've found the AI Custom Blocks to be very useful; I've been able to make edits and create my own blocks. I would love to see how the interactivity appears. However, I've noticed that I cannot change the fonts in the custom blocks. Will this feature be updated anytime soon?
It would be helpful to know what new features are coming this year. Thank you.

1. Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
The tools I found most helpful are “rewrite” and “shorten.” Because English is not my first language, these tools help me create learning content in a clearer and more varied way.
2. Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
The most intuitive feature for me was the AI Text‑to‑Speech Audio tool, especially when used with the caption‑generation option. This was the first AI feature I tried, and it was very easy to use.
