The questions I selected:
1. Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
The AI features that felt most intuitive and useful to me were converting blocks in Rise into different formats and generating quiz questions in Storyline. They were real time-savers. The AI block conversion made it easy to create quick updates with minimal effort on my part, and it helped the course look better and flow more smoothly.2. What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
I was surprised by how well the text and media generation worked most of the time. I appreciated being given multiple options and being able to refine the results with a follow-up prompt. It was convenient to review different variations quickly and then adjust them to better fit my needs.- KerrieHCommunity Member
I was also surprised by how well the AI‑generated text and media worked most of the time. Reviewing a few different options quickly made it much easier to dial things in and helped me keep the tone consistent throughout the course instead of rewriting everything section by section.

Got it. That indeed works - now why did I not see that? Movin' too fast I reckon. AlyssaGomez

Hi, I’m very thankful for this knowledge and the opportunity to explore AI tools in Articulate 360. It’s been a valuable learning experience for me.
Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you?
The most useful feature for me was Edit Text with AI. It saves time because I don’t have to worry about grammar, rewriting, or expanding my content. I also like the AI image generation since I don’t need to search online or worry about copyright.
What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
I was surprised by how quickly it improves clarity and adjusts tone. The image generation was also impressive because it follows style prompts well. It really makes course design faster and more creative.

I agree with your statements. AI provides so much efficiency to our workflows. The time we save to be able to do other things. It can boost creativity (especially in the images).
- JPLagarCommunity Member
I agree! The time we save helps us focus more on creativity, and the image generation makes designing much easier. AI is a great support tool.

- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I found the ability to convert blocks instantly to be the most useful! Will definitely save a lot of time. - What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
As with any AI tool, images are always a struggle. AI has its own look now so getting humans to appear "real" and not AI generated. Images work great though for objects/landscapes.

I think the converting blocks is great as well! In my role, I am given content, but the content experts don't know about the interactive activities, so being able to take their text and convert it to an interactive block is amazing! Images are finicky. Definitely will take some practice to learn how to phrase what you are envisioning to appear.

I agree about the images. I find myself shying away from AI generated images with text because too often the actual text is gibberish, but it's a great tool for objects and landscapes.

One of the most valuable tools for me was the “shorten” editing feature. I often receive very text-heavy content from SMEs who genuinely believe the learner needs to know everything. While their intent is good, it can easily overwhelm the learner. Being able to quickly condense and streamline that content without losing the core message has been a game-changer. It helps me maintain instructional integrity while improving the learner experience.
I also found the image generation from text incredibly helpful. That said, I did run into a small challenge. When I used the word “cookie” in my prompt, the AI kept generating images of actual cookies instead of the concept I was aiming for (website tracking). I had to “massage” the wording several times, eventually replacing “cookie” with phrases like “browsing data,” “trackers,” or “website analytics” to get a more accurate visual.
Is there a more effective way to prompt AI when a word has both a literal and technical meaning?

When generating images within the course content itself, the AI performed beautifully. The images were appropriately sized and visually balanced. However, when I used AI to generate a cover image for my Rise microlearning course, the image appeared too large, and I couldn’t find a way to resize it within the platform.
I practiced this in a microlearning course I’m currently developing, and while the image quality was great, the sizing limitation made it less desirable for a cover. I’d love to know the best practice for resizing or adjusting AI-generated cover images in Rise.
Hi EmeraldBrown you raised a great point here about AI-generated cover images.
The most effective cover images are very wide, with a 1:3 aspect ratio. I also avoid using images with people, since the cropping can change significantly based on the learner’s browser size.
For cover images, I usually stick with the stock photos available in the content library!

1. The AI feature that feels the most intuitive is the AI voice creation. Feels very simple to input and get what I want out of it.
2. The AI image creation works great but once I needed to introduce our branding colors into the images, it struggled with those but not sure I'm prompting them the right way. Would be cool to have a place to input hex codes to have it follow while creating the images.- AlecSanguine710Community Member

Do you have experience using other AI voice generation tools like WellSaid or Adobe Firefly? I think there's an opportunity for companies/corporations to save on software/licensing costs if something like Articulate is able to produce speech with the same (or better) quality as other software that have been in the field longer.

Ohhhh, I like your idea of having a spot for hex codes in the image creation prompt! I haven't yet generated AI images that use our brand colors, so it's good to know in advance that it might be a little tricky in Articulate.

- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I have worked with other AI tools for other aspects of my job, but nothing like this. The words you prompt AI with matter. Too much or too little prompting will produce different outcomes. You can be as basic or as creative as you like.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- Really I found all of these tools to be valuable. Having the ability to quickly rewrite something that isn't using the words you want, shorten something that is too wordy, or have the same tone throughout the entire project is life-changing. The efficiency is unmatched! I have a few context experts that I would want to change the tone of the context. The timing of this training is perfect! I am currently working with a team that needs to develop the same topics for two different audiences. We can create one project and then use these AI tools to modify the tone and context to the level of the other audience.

Absolutely agree! I realized quickly that I had to be more specific in what I wanted the AI features to generate in order for it to produce something similar to what I had envisioned (especially for more complicated/complex content). I do think the media has come a long way, though—I see less and less errors in the images (like badly drawn hands or overly-stylized pictures) than we used to see a year ago.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
Wow aryder it sounds like you're taking this training just in time for those upcoming projects! I’m glad you found features that will help you build those courses more efficiently! 🙌

- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I was surprised at how accurate the images were from AI generation. In the past AI has created extra fingers, odd shadows or things that make you go, "hmm". It was great to see a prompt entered and a valid response come back.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I thought the shorten or change tone functionality was useful. Ai can be bland at times or fit the narrative of the user almost too easily, this felt neutral but still fitting and appropriate.

I decided I wanted to answer all of them :P
- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
I most appreciate the ability to change a block from one type to another. This feels like what AI is meant for… it’s not able to “think” but it is able to carry out specific tasks… and save lots of tedious clicks.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
I was surprised, in a not-so-good way, that when you regenerate blocks the AI assistant also changes the text. I would hope that in a future iteration of the toolsets there is an option to tell it to leave text/content as is and just move it from one type of block to another.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I currently appreciate the option to help generate an image prompt from selected text (or does it work with other stuff too? I’m not sure). I do appreciate the options to shorten, change tone, and change audience as well. I think they will be helpful and “feel” impactful when I work with others to build courses.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
When building other courses I have tried the initial tools to have it build out an outline, structure, etc. And have been a little underwhelmed. They are not bad, per se, but I still feel like feeding the content into another tool (Claude, GPT, Gemini, etc.) and working with it back and forth there is “less constrained” and I can get a “better” end result to them plug into Rise. So… perhaps an option that allows a more opened ended “chat” at the start would be helpful. Sort of like how, these days, everyone is talking about how you can use Claude Code in “planning” mode before you ask it to start doing the actual coding.
One additional comment I wanted to make, as well: I very much appreciated how the little practical tips were peppered in. Examples:
- “use insert below so you can compare what is generated to what you originally had.
- duplicate the block so you can work on it (and compare) without losing the original (in case something goes awry).
- Multi-step flows: first select text, then choose make image prompt, then go into the option to create an image (this was for the flashcards).
All very helpful!
We are all about the practical little tips, Seth_Merriam! In my opinion, it's those workflow tips that make all the difference. So glad you found those helpful!

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- The ability to generate interactive elements and change the interactions themselves seems extremely useful in varying interactions for learners (provided the interaction makes sense for the content).
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- The "change tone" feature was very helpful as I have a tendency to write formally, which doesn't always work the best for some of the lessons my team builds. A more casual tone helps to keep certain things simplistic and friendlier for learners.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- This has been an ongoing challenge in my professional career, but I prefer to have creative control over content. When using the AI assistant and features to generate images, I had to be more specific and "nitpicky" in my requests for it to create the vision I had in my head; as a result, I spent a lot of time rewriting the input text which I could have spent simply searching for or creating an image on my own. It's not a fault of the AI features, though—I honestly think this will help me to let go of that control need (a little).
