Hi everyone! 👋
My name is Julie, and I’m based in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!). I work for Burlington, where I focus on developing training and learning materials—primarily creating and updating instructional videos, courses, and resources that support store teams, especially around compliance, operations, and leadership. Day-to-day, I’m usually collaborating with partners, building content in Articulate, PowerPoint, and Workday to name a few, reviewing feedback, and finding ways to make training more practical and engaging for our associates. I've been an instructional designer for the past 14 years and have my doctorate in Instructional Technologies from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!)
I joined this Certification Cohort because I’m excited to continue growing professionally and strengthening my skills in learning and development. I’m hoping to gain new tools, best practices, and perspectives that I can bring back to my work, while also learning from everyone in this group. I’m especially looking forward to connecting with others who are passionate about training and development.
Bonus: I do have six pets at home, three dogs, and three cats, and would love to share a photo soon—they definitely keep life interesting along with my teenager! 🐾

Hi everyone!
My name is Sarah, and I live just south of Boston, Massachusetts, a block from the ocean. I work for a healthcare software-as-a-service company, where I manage a team of Instructional Designers and Technologists. Day to day, I focus on aligning training strategy with product adoption goals, partnering with product teams on release-driven learning, improving operational processes, and supporting my team in building scalable, high-impact eLearning experiences for new customers. I’ve been with my organization since 2018, and prior to that I worked in higher education as an Instructional Designer.
I joined the Articulate AI Assistant Certification Cohort because I’m deeply interested in how AI can enhance instructional design workflows without compromising quality, creativity, or learner-centered thinking. I’m especially curious about how AI can support rapid development, structured governance, and smarter content iteration at scale. I’m hoping to walk away with practical strategies, clearer boundaries for responsible AI use, and ideas I can immediately apply with my team.
At home, my boyfriend and I have two rescue dogs who absolutely run the household. They’re usually supervising any work I do from the couch.
