difficulty with Engage interaction working properly in Storyline course

Oct 05, 2022

I've had success with the conversation interaction so I decided to try a folder interaction.

I have the interaction set to have the learner advance in order.  I tested the interaction itself and then I add it to my course in Storyline but I obviously misunderstand the possibilities or I am doing something wrong.  The advance buttons that are built into the Engage interaction are not appearing and it's as if my interaction is an image vs a functioning interaction.

I did not have this issue with the conversation interaction of course that did not require 'next' buttons.  It took the learner through a timed conversation.

What am I missing?  Can I not use the interaction with it's 'next' buttons in my Storyline course?

Hi Beth,

Thanks for reaching out!

I created a simple folder interaction in Engage 360 and imported the interaction to Storyline 360, and I can confirm that the navigation worked for me. I've attached my sample file, as well as this link to the published output of my test project file.

Would you be willing to share a copy of your Engage interaction here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at why the navigation of the Engage 360 interaction worked for me and not for you? I'll delete your file when I'm done testing.

Thank you for sharing!

This may be a classis case of UE.  As I mentioned I am new to Engage.

I had removed the navigation buttons from within Storyline but I see that you use yours.  I typically remove and add buttons to remain visually consistent with how we do all of our courses.

I went back and kept the navigation buttons and it works fine now.

Thank you so much!
