Allow courses to issue asynchronous HTTP requests?

Jul 23, 2020

We use SAP SuccessFactors LMS. With their latest update, the resume function no longer works in SCORM courses. More importantly, the LMS won't consistently record completions.

SAP has issued a Bandaid fix (while they look for a real solution) that includes users changing their experimental browser setting, unrealistic in a corporate environment.

The other fix they recommend is that the content developers must update their courses to issue asynchronous http requests.

Do we have the ability to do this within Storyline360 or in Rise?

Kind regards,

Try this fix in the interim (there is something similar for Edge I can find for you if you need it):

  1. Open Chrome browser
  2. Go to chrome://flags/#allow-sync-xhr-in-page-dismissal
  3. Change the drop-down selection for Allows synchronous XHR requests in page dismissal from “Default” or “Disabled” to “Enabled”
  4. Re-launch browser
  5. Open training in Chrome

Hi Patrick,

I've just tested a Rise test course in SuccessFactors and I was able to successfully resume the course.  Would you mind opening a Support ticket with us so that we can look into your issue further? You can go to to open a Support ticket. Please upload a copy of your course as well if possible.
