Are "engage" interactions still a thing?
Apr 06, 2022
Hello all,
I was recently sent a .story file from another articulate user.
On one slide they have an interaction where you click post-it notes and they pop out and reveal text.
Looking at the timeline I see this is marked as an "engage" interaction. (screenshot attached)
When I look around I find tutorials etc for how to use these interactions (like this one https://community.articulate.com/series/engage-360-understanding-interaction-types) but there's no date on these articles so I can't tell if they're out of date.
So are "Engage" interactions still a thing? I don't see any option within my Storyline 360 to add one.
Thanks all,
Michelle

Engage is a still available and comes with Articulate 360. You can install Studio 360 and find Engage in there.
Thank you Tom! I had no idea there were secret extra options hiding in there. 😅
:)
Studio 360 is still a viable product, but most people use Rise and Storyline, so they never bother installing Studio.
Hi Tom,
When I run across Engage interactions within an older Storyline module, they do not seem to play well with our LMS. They lag or don't play at all. Often times the Engage files are long gone. I end up rebuilding the interactions in Storyline. I have one on my desk to do but there are 12 images in the tab interaction. How can I export these images to use them in my rebuild?
All the best,
Rachel
Do you still have .intr file? If so, you can unzip it.
If you have the published output you can dig through the files and there should be a folder with the images inside
