audio controls in storyline

May 09, 2012

Hello!

I'm reviewing storyline with a 30 day trial. So far so good - I really like it! But how do I allow audio controls so viewers can pause the audio? When I preview my project and click on the speaker icon I am only given the option to increase/decrease volume. Thanks!

Hi Nicole & welcome to Heroes,

You can enable the Seekbar by clicking on the Player button & then checkmarking Seekbar under Controls:

For more information on customizing your player, see this tutorial:

If you want to pause individual media within a slide, you can use the Pause Media Trigger:

I had the same issue. The seek bar on the player is synched with the timeline of the slide, not any audio or video. I had to convert my audio to an mp4 video file, resize the video to a height of 1 pixel and the width to the size I wanted the scrub bar. In the video options check the "show video controls". attached is a sample of what I did

Hi Santosh and welcome to Heroes!

With the project that was shared here I don't see the seekbar enabled within the player settings - so I'm curious if you're referring to a project you're working on. If so, you may want to check that each slide has not been set to use "custom player settings" as you could enable the seekbar within the player and the change the individual slide properties to allow it to have a custom player set up and remove the seekbar option:

Please let us know if you're still having difficulty after checking into the individual slides.
