I've looked for something similar in the community and not finding this exact issue.
I have a toggle button (audio icon) on the slide master. then use triggers to turn audio on/off if the user does not want to listen to the narration.
On some of my slides I have multiple slide layers, with audio narration on each.
I can't seem to get the audio to play only the audio for that layer. it will play the base layer and slide layer's audio when I click the toggle button again.
Do I need to create a different audio variable T/F for the slide layers?
We're happy to help! We actually have an article that explains how to create this in Storyline 360. You'll need variables and states to create this interaction. Here's the link!
Hi there, thanks for the reply. I did check out the link, but it doesn't work where there is audio on multiple layers. That is what I am looking for instructions on.
You're correct; that article doesn't include information on if there are multiple layers. I'd like to have our Support Engineers take a look at your course, so I've opened a case on your behalf. You should see an upload link where you can share your .story file with us.

Please let me know how it goes!
It seems like they were looking for a way to toggle the audio on layers as well as the main time line.
I am looking how to do this as well.
Is there instructions somewhere on how to do this?
I have custom audio buttons and need to always see all the layers.
