Changing Closed Caption Size without Changing Player Font Size

May 22, 2020

I know this question sounds incredible minor and picky, but is there any way for developers to change the size of closed captions without changing the size of the player font?

Hi Phil!

Great question! Right now, we don't have a built-in feature to customize the dimensions of the closed captioning box in Storyline 360!

I can see how this customization would be helpful for authors! I'll go ahead and add your comments to our current feature report. I'll report back to this discussion when I have an update.

Hi Rob and Steve,

We now have a website where you can check out what's in the works and upcoming:

Articulate 360 Feature Roadmap

This conversation is attached to our current feature request we are tracking specific to requesting the ability to customize Closed Caption Font, Color, Size, and Placement.

I do not have an update at this time, but we will pop in and share it here when we do.

I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.

Hello everyone,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included some new features a few important fixes you'll see in the release notes.

The item you'll be interested in is:

New: Make closed captions easier to read. Increase the captions font size up to 200% in the modern player.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
