Content Library image sources

Sep 02, 2022

When I've been using Content Library to look for images recently it's felt like the quality/range of images is far poorer than it used to be, as if there's a smaller image pool to choose from.

The recent update that shows you the image source when you hover-over makes it clear that most of these images are coming from Unsplash and Pixabay which are free-to-use stock photo sites (and the sites we used to use before we got 360), and so searching via Content Library is no different to using those sites on the web.

Did 360's Content Library used to include a subscription to real, paid, stock photo sites, or has it always just been scraping the not-so-great free web resources and offering it as a paid feature of 360 all along?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry to hear about your experience with the available content in Content Library 360. I went ahead and opened a support ticket on your behalf so we can properly address all of your concerns regarding Content Library 360 and the available media files there.

As for the available files, Storyline 360 connects directly to both Unsplash and Pixabay, so it doesn't just scrape for content but displays all of the available media files from both sites in their entirety. A support engineer will be in touch with you shortly to help address any additional technical inquiries that you may have.
