Edit xAPI data to have TalentLMS Branch

Hi! As the title says, I have many branches in TalentLMS, and am looking for a way to tag the xAPI statements sent to our Veracity LRS with the branch in order to facilitate sorting.  My first thought was to use custom xAPI statements, but the built-in ones are delivering smoothly.  Has anyone edited the scormdriver.js file to add a tag for the branch? I was trying to use this tutorial:

but so far what I'm asking seems to be a bit out of scope. Any help or experience (or pointing out something obvious that I'm missing lol) would be greatly appreciated!
