Elements of Basic Layer not visible

Aug 09, 2023

Hi everybody,

So far I haven't had any problems creating layers. But now I have an error somewhere that I can't find.

If the learner has not clicked on all fields, the hint level should be shown. When creating the new level, it does not show me the elements of the base level, although all elements are set to visible.
Where am I doing wrong?

I've attached an excerpt. does anyone find my mistake?
Thanks in advance

Andrea

The layer has a Solid fill for its background. That covers all the objects on the base:

Change that to No fill, and you'll see the base.

FYI: This post explains various settings that control base visibility: Can't see the base from a layer? Or is it just dimmed? Is that what you want? Here's how to control base visibility... - Articulate Storyline Discussions - E-Learning Heroes

You're not stupid, Andrea.

You were unaware of that background setting for layers.

But you were smart enough to ask for help in a language other than your native one.

Plus smart enough to upload a simplified file, which made it easier to troubleshoot.

So now you know how a layer's background impacts the visibility of the base. And I'd bet that you're smart enough to check that setting if you encounter a similar issue in the future.

In other words, you're smart enough to keep learning. 😃

Best wishes as you continue working with Storyline!
