My client wants to have a live poll at the beginning of our course. The poll will ask a few questions and then on clicking submit would show a tally of every users results. Is there a way to do this in Storyline?

Based on your description of wanting the poll to be 'live' and be able to see the tally of results from others, I'd recommend using an online service to do so and then embedding this web object into your Storyline 360 project.
If your Live Poll has a URL that can be embedded, then you can use of Rise 360's embed block to add the poll to your course. You can find this option under:
All Blocks -> Multimedia -> Embed
This feature is similar to Storyline 360's web object option, so you should be able to use this as long as your Live Poll is hosted on an online service.

You can use poll everywhere https://www.polleverywhere.com/ If I am remembering correctly you 'll need to add the poll and the response .
