Hide score from learner in LMS, but keep score and answer detail logged in admin view of LMS

Mar 29, 2023

I have made an assessment in SL360, and following advice found on another link, published as SCORM 2004 so that in our LMS (Absorb), it is possible to view which answers a learner selected for each question.

However, the assessment also displays the final / total score to the learner in the 'learner experience' of the LMS and for this assessment, there is a strong preference to hide the score.

Is there any possible setting (in either SL360 or Absorb) that this learner view restriction can be enabled?

Hi Jason,

Great question! I understand you want to hide the total score data from the learner but still report it to the LMS. You’ll want to check in with Absorb to see if they can give you any input on this. Storyline 360 doesn't currently have an option for hiding reported data, but that sounds like an interesting idea that I can share with our product team.

Also, here is an article about the quiz data Storyline sends to an LMS!

Thanks for reaching out!

Hi Jason,

This does not pertain to your question, but I wanted to get some input from a fellow Absorb user. Following the release of their new Next Generation Learner Experience, have you run into any issues with course completion for Rise of SL courses? It's been a hit or miss lately with a plethora of courses. Some are completing automatically and others are not completing unless learners select the 'X' in the upper right corner to exit the course player. We have checked the SCORM settings for any courses that we've been having issues with and everything seems to be fine. I appreciate any of your thoughts on this!
