My company development team uses Storyline for three languages, but it is very challenging to identify small edits when there isn't a track changes mechanism.
do you have a suggestion or will this feature exist in your roadmap coming soon?
I'd love to let our team know about this idea, and I’m curious to know more! Would you mind telling me a little more about why having a track changes function would come in handy for you? Also, what type of scenario would you use it in?
Let me know, as I’m happy to share your feedback with our product team!
We are translating our Storyline files into multiple languages. When an update in our English courses take place it will be useful to see those edits/track changes so we can incorporate them into the already translated Storyline files. It is more efficient and cost effective for our organization instead of sending the files all over again to our translator vendor.
Thanks for sharing that use case, Alicia! I can see how a track changes feature would be helpful in that scenario. I'll pass all of this along to my team for consideration!
I think this would be very helpful as well. We have subject matter experts make the courses but have it reviewed for spelling and standards. It would be helpful to know what was changed for the SME to limit reviews to changes made. Sometimes re-wordings can unintentionally change meaning
I would also like to see this feature. It's much quicker and easier to make edits to the content and allow the author to review and accept or reject them. The author then sees every suggestion without missing edits and doesn't waste time reviewing content that has not been changed. It also saves time because the reviewer/editor doesn't have to make notes in addition to edits, or saves the author time because if the reviewer/editor makes notes without making changes, the author then has to make the changes - it's double work because there are notes and edits.
Making Storyline a Webbased tool with check-in and check-out options for multiple teammembers and real cooperation options would definately fix this and bring Storyline back as a modern tool.

I'm very curious about this as well. I come across this very often and trying to find ways to cut down on time to make updates.
