Limit amount of draggable items in Freeform

Mar 10, 2020

Hi all!

I'm working in Articulate Storyline on an interactive game for kids which involves a number of different food item images that they are to drag into an appropriate area on a plate (food group).

It's working well, using a freeform slide to manage the drag and drop actions, however I'm wondering if there is a way to limit the amount of images each time the game is loaded?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Andy!

Great question! My first thought is to build a True/False variable that determines which objects are shown. Have you tried using a variable?

It's always easier for me to see the file to determine a fix! If you're comfortable sharing the file, you can either attach it to this discussion or send it privately using this link. Either way, we'll test the file and respond with our findings.

Hi Lauren,

thanks for the reply.  I opted to place all of the images in a scrolling panel, as I couldn't come up with a solution to get exactly what i was going for.

I'm awaiting feedback from my colleagues on the panel, and if they really want to go with the original way, I will get back to you.

Thanks again!
