masking with text

Hi to All!

I am doing some experimenting with masking some text. In the example I attached, I was able to do it just using scroll bars. There are two problems. The first is that the letters are seen intersecting as they go their different directions. I don't want that effect. Second, I watched a video where the person did it with motion paths. I know very little about motion paths. How can I create this effect without the letters traveling through each other? Thanks in advance!

Shouldn't need motion paths, I think your issue is that the scroll panels overlap, if they didn't I don't think the text will overlap

Thanks. That helped. The only thing is that I would also like the two lines to end up closer together. By not having the scroll bars overlap, the text is farther apart than I would like.

There is a limit to how close before the scroll bars appear. You can adjust the margins of the textboxes to get closer and then align top and bottom last is to nudge 1 pixel at a time.
