Hi Bob -- thanks for checking in. No updates on this issue yet. We're monitoring the impact, though, to make sure we have it prioritized properly, and I've updated our report to include the latest build.
We'll keep this discussion updated with any changes!
I'm back with an update! We aren't seeing this issue in Storyline 360 Update 36 (Build 3.36.21213.0) where the hyperlink hover breaks when there are multiple lines!
Thank you for reaching out sharing a screenshot of what you are seeing! I also tested this behavior and I am seeing the same thing. It looks like the issue may have resurfaced, so I appreciate you letting us know.
I am connecting with our team on this and we will be sure to provide an update as soon as we have more details to share!
Thanks for the added thoughts! There's not a way to remove the hover state on hyperlinks, though you can add a transparent shape on top of the text that contains a trigger to the desired URL if you prefer not having a hover.
Not an ideal workaround, but something to consider while we get this bug fixed!
Yes, I'm aware of this band-aid, but that unfortunately doesn't work in terms of efficiency. We used hotspots in the past; however, we translate 10-30+ languages per course, so having to adjust every hotspot due to the differences in translations is not worth the pain. Boo.
We just released Hyperlink States in Storyline 360 (Build 3.46.23620.0) today. This feature includes the bug fix where the line would break when hovering over a hyperlink!
You can head over to our release notes to see the other features and fixes in this update.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app!
Although I love the hyperlinks release, I have found that if the link is longer than 2 lines that the hover turns into a block and will highlight additional text that is not part of the hyperlink. I'm wondering if there is a setting for this that can be adjusted.
I've attached an example that demonstrates how SL360 highlights when the hyperlink is contained within a single line, across 2 lines, and across 3 lines.
Thanks for reaching out, and I appreciate you including the sample file!
I see the same thing you described, so I've enlisted the help of our support engineers by opening a case on your behalf!
Stay tuned for an email from one of my teammates with a next step, and we'll keep the conversation going in your case, so we have all the details in one spot!
I'm so sorry to hear you're also running into this issue—and I'm happy you reached out!
Feel free to share your file privately here with our support team so they can help troubleshoot! As soon as one of my teammates investigates your file, they'll be in touch with a next step!
Thank you Becca for your response. One of your team members did contact me. Hoping it's something that can be fixed soon for a more aesthetic look. Happy for the time being that the links function :)
I've also frequently experienced the same issue that Susan and Erin experience. When I have a multi-line hyperlink, occasionally the blue highlight covers more than it should. This seems to frequently happen after a course is translated.
I'm attaching two pictures: one demonstrating the issue, and one showing what happens when I insert a single space before the hyperlink, which seems to fix it.

Thanks Crystal.
+1 for this feature request. Having to make hotspots with hover states to replicate the "correct" behavior is a lot of work!

+1 on this.
I have a question to expand upon this.. Is there a way to remove the hover state on hyperlinks?
