Hi Michel,

Thanks for reaching out and great question! Yes, this is the default behavior. If you set up one question bank with 6 questions, you can randomly pull from that single bank into three different tests without seeing repeat questions.

You'll need to ensure that your Draw from Bank is set up to randomly pull questions. This will not work if you have it set to Always pull a set of questions. You'll also want to ensure the number of questions in your bank exceeds the accumulative number of questions from your various draws.

Does this help? Do let me know.

@Joshua - I want to make sure I understand this:

I have 5 test banks - one per learning objective. I want to have a pretest and a post test where one question from each bank is pulled for each. The system is already set up to not ask the same question in the pretest and post test part?

For example:

Pretest = 5 questions, 1 per bank

Posttest= 5 questions, 1 per bank

Each bank has 5 questions. So the learner will see 2 of the 5 questions in each bank during any given test.

Hello Emily,

Happy to chime in!

If you have multiple slides that draw from the same question bank, there isn't a way to guarantee that the same question/set of questions won't be pulled twice. In your example, if a pretest slide draws Question 1 from Question Bank 1, there's no way to make sure that the same question won't be drawn by the posttest slide from the same question bank.

The best way to ensure that questions don't repeat is to have entirely different sets of questions for each of your question banks.
