Please Help :( Issues with Radio Buttons and Highlighting of Questions

Jun 01, 2021

Hi Everyone:

New to Storyline, and I'm hoping those with more experience than myself can help. I am having a few issues with my course, and I've looked everywhere for the answer, without a solution.

1. On Questions 1-7 of the attached course, users can't click on the radio button; users can only click on the answer text. I've reviewed all triggers and settings for questions, 8-17, and they are identical. I want users to be able to click the radio button AND answer text. Any help?

2. Some questions show a highlighted box when a user hovers over the answer options to a question. Some questions do not. I have reviewed the color settings and all slides have the identical color (Control 1) to highlight when a user hovers over an answer. I don't care about this feature, but I want the slides to be the same. Either they hover over and see a highlight or they do not. I just don't know how to turn off/on. Any help?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello, Quanta.

Thank you for sharing your .story file!

I noticed two of your slides with the described behavior for the radio buttons (Slides 1 and 7). On those slides, the picture is covering the radio buttons:

If you move the Multiple Choice object above the Character in the timeline, it should fix this issue:

Your second question about the highlighted box is related to the states of the Multiple Choice textbox. Let's take a look at Question 2 below: you can see the hover state highlights the answer because it's different than the background color.

On Question 3, the background color is the same as the hover state, so it's not visible to the user:

Let me know if this helps!
