Question about Reselling SCORM Files

Hello everybody,

first of all I'm sorry about my not existing knowledge of scorm files.
I'm looking for an solution to track and authenticate scorm files created in storyline 360 send to customers. (like Lecturio if somebody knows the system behind their scorm files).

After some searching I've found many results based on cmi5, cicc or the tin can api. But how in generally I need to setup the scorm (and what kind of service - and where) to be able to track if an customer has opened the scorm files.

The goal is to be able to track the number of times a scorm file has been opened (for each customer) and when they open the scorm file to check if our server / a license is valid.

Kev,

I would recommend you research SCORM Dispatch files. These will allow you to control access to your SCORM packages that run on a client's LMS. I've worked with one client who used domain restriction policies via Vimeo videos embedded into Storyline 360 to control access.

thanks a lot, haven't heard of it yet, looks good.
Do you know if there is an "open source" / self-hosted version so there are no monthly fees? (We have some scorm files with sizes over 100MB so most free plans are out of range and very expensive.)

Nothing that I am aware of at the moment. Perhaps someone else who comes across this thread could provide information on an "open source" alternative. Let's see.
