Quiz Review Options in Storyline

Aug 19, 2021

I haven't worked much with the review options for a quiz in Storyline, so am wondering if someone can help me with the limits of the reviewing capabilities?

1.  Is it possible to show feedback in the review for questions that are wrong?

2.  Is there a way to show which questions were wrong (and an explanation of why they are wrong) but NOT show the correct answer?

If not, is there a way to custom build a quiz review that can accomodate these things?

Thank you!

Hi, Samantha,

1. Yes, you can show feedback on a Review layer. Storyline will create one if you enter any text in the Post-quiz review field in Form View. Or you can create your own.

The Review layer will appear for questions answered incorrectly and correctly. (You could use triggers to hide the feedback on correctly answered questions. That would require using conditions and variables.)

2. During a review, Storyline always adds a banner at the bottom that indicates whether a question was answered correctly or incorrectly. (It can't be deleted. It can be hidden by putting another object over it on the Review layer.)

By default, Storyline indicates the correct responses. But you can turn that off by editing the Review results trigger. Just deselect the checkbox for showing responses.
