Resources in Resource tab (PDFs or URLs) open on top of course
When learners click a URL or a PDF from the Resources tab, it opens on top of the course. This leads to the learner thinking they cannot get back to the course. I've researched this on this platform and nobody had a solution that works.
Is there a way to have resources op in a new browser window or a new tab?

Thanks for reaching out! I understand that links in the Resource tab open at the top of the course on your end. I ran some tests using Google Chrome, and the PDF link in my sample Storyline 360 course opened in a new tab. Here's a quick recording of my experience.
Do you see the same thing when you click the PDF link in my Review 360 course? What browser are you using to test? Did you also publish to Review 360 or to another platform such as LMS or Web?
If you see something different with your course, can you share your Storyline file to see if something with the link may be causing the behavior? You may also share it privately by sending it along in a support case. We'll delete it when we're done testing.
Having the same issue currently. using windows edge. it opens in a new tab when using review 360 but opens in the same tab in our LMS, thus meaning the end user has to re start the course.
browser settings seem fine fore example if i click your "quick recording..." link, it opens in a new tab.

Hi jnoble! Thank you for sharing what you've tested so far! Sometimes, the setting to open links in a new tab is based on the website. In that case, it might be worth reaching out to your LMS admin to see if this is expected when a course is hosted in their LMS environment.
