Scaling settings for software simulations in Storyline

Jan 27, 2023

Hello!

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1. The recommended scaling on the display is currently 150%.  Based on the articles I found in the forum, it is recommended that the display scaling needs to be 100% before doing recording software simulations. Is that correct? However, when I changed the scaling to 100% on my ThinkPad, the fonts in any UI turned to be too small.

I have another Dell Monitor (much bigger) the display scaling is 100%. But when I tried to record on that, the recording output looks very strange. I suspect it's because of the different scaling settings between the monitor and the laptop.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you.

Hi Zhenyu,

Thanks for reaching out! You are correct; the monitors should have the same resolution when recording. I'm not sure if this is the same article you found, but we have one that you may find helpful when recording your screen using multiple monitors; I'm sharing a link here:

Let me know if this works or if you have other questions; I'm happy to help!
