Hi everyone. I am trying to get a handle on working with simulations, and I have a question. Can the simulation require the user to type something as a part of a simulation. Would you use a data-entry field for this? How would this work?
Are you asking about simulations created through screen recordings? If so, when using one of the interactive modes (Try / Test), the learners will follow exactly what you recorded (including entering text just as they would with the real software).
Maria, how does this work if you, for example, created a screen recording of a fillable form, but learners would be entering their own specific info into the form? How to cue Storyline to accept the individual entries in the correct hotspots on "try" side? This is where I am struggling right now.
Are you looking to have additional options available as answers, or do you want to accept any answer as "Correct"? You can manually adjust the hint captions and accepted answers after the recording.
I'm happy to offer more specific suggestions if you have a sample .story file to share.
